The property was clean, spacious and most of all, the owners thought of everything that would make a guest’s stay comfortable and convenient. I would definitely look to stay here again if we are in the area to explore Bryce Canyon and beyond.

Happy Trails is a quiet property right in the small town of Tropic. Enjoyed having a balcony to sit on and watch the sunset. The room was very clean and comfortable. Coffee, yogurt, and soda available in the common area. Took advantage of the laundry facilities which are onsite and a real bonus. A fresh and hearty breakfast was provided each morning with a smile. Hosts are absolutely wonderful and are always willing to offer suggestions of sites around the area. Would highly recommend this property to others!

Very well finished interior! Cabin was spotless, well furnished and very comfy and cozy. There are a number of cabin-style properties in Tropic. They may look similar from the outside, but this one was absolutely outstanding on the inside.

Although a lot of the shops and restaurants were closed for the season. Everyone seemed to be very friendly and the pizza place we ate at was very good.
Clark's store has everything you need for hiking, dinner or a quick snack. Really good coffee

Such a cute little quaint town.
Such a cute little quaint town. There isn't much, but it's great. A few little quaint restaurants, and a gas station, and it's just adorable. Highly recommend starting at Bryce Valley Lodging, mini cabins, little personal adorable ones! You won't be disappointed! Great fun.

Tropic was just a short drive to Bryce Canyon and all the hiking. We enjoyed the coffee shop nearby (Bryce Canyon Coffee) and the restaurant that had live music (Showdowns Restaurant) in the evenings! We were there in early May 2023 and the weather was perfect, 35 to 45 degrees in the morning and 80's at the hottest.

Tropic is a great town being about 20 minutes from Bryce Canyon. My partner and I stayed at Bryce Canyon Log Cabins. With many other activities in the area such as ATVs or electric bicycles, Bryce Wildlife Outfitters is the place to go for ATVing. For Dinner I’d recommend Cowboys Smokehouse Cafe and Arriba Mexican Grill. For coffee we went to Bryce Canyon Coffee Co. Inside the park there is dining at Bryce Canyon Lodge, we ate at the buffet for breakfast.

Spent 1 night here as a stop over.
Spent 1 night here as a stop over. Our accommodation was fine but Tropic itself is limited and not helped by the strictly enforced Utah rule of not having a beer without food. In the restaurant this was very odd and we couldn't have a second beer because we hadn't ordered enough food!

Dont stay in Tropic during winter.
Dont stay in Tropic during winter. The whole town is basically close during weekdays in the offseason. All restaurants are only open during weekends. The only place to buy food is the 66 gas station with a general store.
It is a very small town with some motels and a few restaurants, I'd recommend Bryce Canyon City or Mt Carmel Junction.
My family loved this two bedroom cabin. It’s clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the outside as well, beautiful view. You can see sunrise from the porch. Every evening, there are five horses and a cute donkey eating grasses nearby. The town is small but has good food. We recommend breakfast at Rustler’s restaurant. We also liked Showdowns and RDK. People there are very nice. And it’s a short drive to Bryce Canyon National Park. We would definitely stay at the same place if we visit Bryce Canyon again.
The Bybee Stepping Stone is a fun, small hotel in Tropic. The room was well-designed and very clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Added bonus: they have real king beds versus hotel-sized King beds. We liked having chairs outside the room to sit outside in the evening, and the extra seating area to the side of the hotel is great. I'd stay here again. There are a couple of restaurants, a coffee shop, and a laundry mat within a two-block walk of the hotel.
We booked at room at Red Ledges at the last minute. We got an incredible deal and were beyond pleased when we arrived at our room. Gorgeous room, very clean and spacious, super comfortable bed. It was such a great stay! The office staff was super friendly and gave us great information and recommendations on what to do during our brief stay. In the morning we got coffee at the very cute nearby shop with excellent beverages and pastries, the town was just adorable.
We really enjoyed our stay at Bryce Trails B&B! Located about 20 minutes outside of Bryce Canyon Park, it was a quiet place, away from the touristy feel of the closer hotels. Beautiful views, quiet location, very friendly hosts, and delicious breakfasts, sitting with other guests and sharing National Park stories! We loved our first floor room with its patio where we could watch the sunset over Bryce and see the deer walk by!
Everything! Chilling on the porch, the super comfortable bedrooms, cooking and having diner in the beautiful kitchen, the huge TV with smartphone connectivity, close to a supermarket, free parking on the property, …
Also the town Tropic is pleasant (nice coffee shop and restaurants).
It’s a 15 min drive to Bryce; ideal for watching the sunrise at the canyon.
Great location outside Tropic close to Bryce Canyon with terrific views. Spotless apartment clearly lovingly looked after by the owners who live on the floor above the apartment. Well provided with all needed to cook with lots of extras provided. And was special to see the house through our binoculars from Bryce Point in the National Park.
Very convenient location for Bryce Canyon - about a 20 min drive. Close to shops and restaurants in the small town of Tropic. Older property but has been very nicely renovated. Staff were very prompt with responding to our messages. Daily housekeeping was a surprising touch.
Amazing bnb! The owners are so friendly and helpful! Everything was really easy with them.
The room is huge, clean and perfect! The breakfast was cooked by the owner and really tasty! It is really closed to the bryce canyon. We recommend this hotel.
Location was quiet and had beautiful scenery all around, so it felt remote, yet was conveniently close to amenities in Tropic and a short drive to Bryce Canyon. The on-site restaurant, the Stone Canyon Grill was quite good for dinner.
The location of Tropic was good for visiting Bryce Canyon. We enjoyed Showdowns for dinner, gas and ice for our cooler was right down the street as well as a great BBQ place.
Location was ideal for Bryce Canyon and other canyons. Tropic was great. House was spacious, well equipped, washing machine and drier great. Price was good.
