I traveled from Las Vegas Nevada to Van Buren to watch the total solar eclipse. The motel 6 was expensive at $180 a night, but less expensive than hotels closer to centerline. The accommodations were fair, clean, but Spartan. Decent for an overnight stay.
Free wireless internet access and an indoor swimming pool are features of this Van Buren motel. Crawford County Speedway is 6 miles from this location.

Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Could walk to BBQ place.
Took the train ride to Winslow which was great fun.
Took the train ride to Winslow which was great fun. Van Buren's downtown area has places to eat and shops to buy from which is a plus. However, one of my favorite things was the free trolley ride around the downtown area.

Van Buren is like a city that forgot how to be a city.
Van Buren is like a city that forgot how to be a city. Vacancies abound in the downtown, streets not very clean at all, "Old Town" just barely occupied, parks lacking charm. The residents seem to be plodding, rather unfriendly. Sorry to be such a wet blanket on Van Buren...it's redeeming grace is that it's a very convenient stopping point for a long south to north driving trip.

Great little Italian restaurant there.
Great little Italian restaurant there. Accommodations were welcome, but not at all a reflection of the expensive price. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but basic. The amenities were scarce. Not much soap. Staff was knowledgeable of the area's restaurants and was helpful to steer us to the kind of food we were wanting. Great location. Easy on/off Interstate ramps. If you didn't want the usual motel breakfast, McDonald's was close and a gas station was conveniently near.
Everything was nice at the Super 8. Wish all Super 8's would learn from this one. Staff was great and accommodating. Room was excellent. Although there were people staying in rooms near or beside us, they were quite or the room was well insulated that we didn't hear them. I would highly recommend this Super 8 to anyone. I would stay here again.
From the moment I walked in the door, I could tell this place was immaculate!
Absolutely loved the pristine, clean rooms! Beds were comfortable and love the pillows!
Carolyn and a new young lady were very accommodating and check in was a breeze! Give your housekeepers a raise!!!
Love this Hotel!
The whole experience went so smoothly. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was great, with lots of choices of hot & cold foods, fruits, muffins, & juice & water. There was 24hr coffee available, lemonade, water, & cookies too.
Breakfast was good. Hotel clean and decorated with a clean, modern look. It was easy to reserve and check-in and check-out. Artwork was well chosen and reflected local features.
Convenient location right on I-40, perfect for a one night stand during a business trip. The Colton’s restaurant is just few steps away from the hotel which was a pleasant bonus.
Got what we were expecting based on the price. Hotel reeked of Marijuana but otherwise decent enough for one night. Quick uber ride to a really pretty downtown area.
