Waypoint Ventura, hotel in Ventura

Located in Ventura, a 5-minute walk from Ventura State Beach, Waypoint Ventura provides accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking.

We loved all the high end touches…the coffee and teas for self brewing, the soaps, lotions, etc., the cold water waiting for us in the frig. We loved the afternoon cookies and the breakfast cookies and chia pudding. The fresh squeezed OJ was terrific too. The bed was very comfortable too. We also liked the fire pits in the evening….so cozy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We also liked how close the property is to the Ventura Pier.

The Pierpont Inn, hotel in Ventura

Located a 5-minute walk to San Buenaventura Beach, this Ventura, California inn has rooms with free Wi-Fi and free guest parking. It features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool.

The room was comfortable. We had a ground floor room with a small patio. Big sliding glass door that opened out to patio and walkway - although we faced the freeway so a bit noisy but it became "white noise" that didn't bother us. There was a free breakfast included but we did not participate in it so can't tell you if it was good or bad.

I normally do not write reviews however this hotel is disgusting. The staff upon check in were rude and less than hospitable. The room smelled heavily of mold and dog urine. The bathroom sink and tub had rust rings around the basin. The bathroom walls were filthy with black dirt marks from previous guests including the front door to the room. Upon addressing the concerns with the front desk staff, they did not seem to care and advised me to contact the third party booking website for any assistance. There are plenty of affordable hotels in the area that offer better accommodations than this hotel, please stay away.

Ventura is one of the first beach towns you can stay in as you drive north from Los Angeles. Nice pier and harbor area and it competes with Oxnard just to the North as an easy weekend get away from Los Angeles.

Clean and commfortable place to stay if all you need is a basic lodging with some kitchen facilities. Not in a very good location, and the kitchen was very poorly stocked, but it served our purpose as an relatively inexpensive place to stay while visiting Channel Islands National Park.

    I like Ventura.

I like Ventura. We usually stop in Oxnard for food but this was our fist time staying the night in Ventura. It is more affordable than Ojai and Santa Barbara. I would visit with my family again. The Beach House restaurant on the pier was great too.

Although the city is bisected by a busy freeway and a rail line, it's a great place to shop, walk along the beach, and as a more reasonably priced place to stay for visits to Santa Barbara and Ojai.

We went for the International Heirloom Exposition.

We went for the International Heirloom Exposition. It was fantastic!!! If you like to garden, I highly recommend it. Then we got to experience a little bit of Ventura. Their downtown/midtown gets a little crazy for us, but we found a ton of other eating options. I highly recommend Fresh Grill Ventura @ Main St & S. Santa Rosa St. Their breakfast bowl is the best!!! Fresh veggies and so tasty.

I have stayed here few times already, sometimes just for one night, sometimes for a few days. It is nice and cozy hotel, conveniently located near downtown Ventura. Beds are comfortable, rooms are pretty big, and it has real kitchens. Also I like very much it's lovely decorations, all those beautiful flowers painted at the walls, sculpture near the entrance an cute tiles in the bathroom.

Great location, very easy walk to beach, pier and downtown area. The exit from parking garage provides an extremely easy access entrance to 101 freeway. Comfy bed, decent breakfast, friendly staff. Nice shower, granddaughters enjoyed the pool and there’s a fun playground on the beach! This was our 2nd stay at hotel. A bit pricey but aren’t they all?

The location was perfect. 10 minutes from the Ventura Harbor Village where we took transportation to the Channel Islands. There are different restaurants along Victoria which is the street the Hotel is located which make it convenient for when hunger calls. We went to a Pub when we arrived which was located 4 minutes away on Victoria.

The rooms are updated, clean, and super comfortable. The TV is big and the bed is wonderful, great shower and bathroom too. Will definitely stay here again next time we come to Ventura, which is every other month or so. This room compares nicely to the more expensive hotels in the are that are at least twice the price.
