Magnificent green oasis, this beautifully kept property was such a welcome haven right at the entrance to the Augrabies park!
The room with kitchenette and braised facilities overlooked a green garden and right across the small bridge (inside the gardens) was the main house with a pool and a well stocked honesty bar that we used. It had everything we needed for a superb stay.

A visit to the falls is always worth it , what ever the flow rate of water.
However it is very clear that despite well trained and friendly staff the site suffers from neglect. A considerable proportion of the view site boardwalks are cordoned off as damaged areas show no sign of being repaired. Flood damage occurred about 18 months ago (so we were told) and it is very difficult to understand why a premier tourist destination does not receive priority from SAN Parks head office. We last visited Augrabies five years ago and heard the same story from staff, little, none or very difficult to get, support from Pretoria.
Shame on you SANParks!

Well, the water flow wasn't heavy as I thought we should have waiting till rainy seasons, nonetheless, my trip was good and I wish to see big 5's in my next trip, I did not ask if they have guided tours or it's self drive only.

Augrabies Falls was a highlight of our 5-week visit to South Africa. The earlier downpours had closed the game drive, moon rock and dassie walk, due to water damage. But the falls were spectacular and well worth the trip on their own. We spent 3 hours walking along the banks of the Orange River and then had lunch on the shady restaurant deck, with little monkeys running beneath the tables.

Augrabies falls was something amazing.
Augrabies falls was something amazing. I travel all over South-Africa, and Augrabies is on the top 3 of my list of most breathing places. The view is spectacular, the air is fresh and the trip through the Karoo was the cherry on top. Everyone is helpful, friendly and a pleasure to be around. I'll recommend it to anyone and definitely do it again despite the 10 hour drive from where I came from.

The falls were amazing to see.
The falls were amazing to see. Many advantage points to view the falls from. Interesting game drive, although animals are challenging to see. Augrbies falls park has a resturant, ablutions and chalets with pools. I would assume it becomes crowded in the busy season. Great area with many citrus and raisin farms

What I liked about the place was the absence of crime.
What I liked about the place was the absence of crime. I would have liked a bit cruise and a game drive but that could not happen because of the high level of the river and damages of the floods. I wish that information could have been provided then I could have planned better.
Daberas Farm is an absolutely stunning location, remote and peaceful, and right next to the Augrabies National Park. Ebony Lodge was well appointed, with beautiful furniture and outdoor/ braai area. Would have loved to be there for summer and use the outdoor bathroom.
Hannecke was extremely helpful, and offered for her husband to take us on an evening drive through the 4x4 trail as our vehicle wouldn’t make it. The drive was an absolute highlight of my time in this part of the country, and can’t recommend staying here enough

The food was absolutely great. The setting and surrounding is stunning. The atmosphere at dinner was that of a typical farm community getting together and having fun. This was one of the most pleasurable stay-overs we've ever had. It's also within a few minutes of the Augrabies falls -- which is why we were there.
The rooms around the pool are well appointed and very comfortable.
Staff are well trained and commendable for their service.
Facilities are clean.
Food was well prepared , and we enjoyed the meals.
Great loaction, with easy access to a runway and Augrabies falls.
The accomodation was excellent - Clean and all one needs for a short stay.
Close to Augrabies Falls - which was more that expected.
Friendliness and attendance of the waiters - Food excellent.
Great place to stay if you are visiting the Falls and National Park.
Was initially difficult to find the location, but Henry and Ockie stepped in immediately to get us there quickly and safely. Hosts went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our visit to augrabies and our stay with them.
De Oude Stoor is very well located close to the Augrabies National Park. Rene, the manager, was very welcoming and friendly. The unit was comfortable and had everything we needed for a self catering one night stop over.
Very comfortable, quiet and spacious room and (huge) bath and shower. Coffee facilities, although no breakfast. Good restaurant close by. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Close to the famous Augrabies waterfall.
The house was fully stocked with everything we needed to braai. There were 2 places to swim. It is 500 meters from the Augrabies Nature Resort. It was clean and neat.
Hospitality and friendliness of the owners and manager was excellent. Golf course was a huge challenging experience. Augrabies waterfalls great experience.
The location was hard to find and I would recommend sending future guests a map to get there after turning off the main road from Kakamas or Augrabies side.
