Walking and cycling trails straight outside the door - lovely nature trails all around. Very quiet except for some farm noise at times through the day but not enough to be a worry.

Lauwie cottage is very well renovated by the owner, nicely furnished and all comfort provided. The owners are welcoming. It is close to good walking and cycling routes as well as nice restaurants. We will certainly want to go back, preferably in the summer to enjoy the spacious garden as well.

Landhuisjes Bij De Wouterbron is set in a nature reserve in Opglabbeek and offers a secluded location, free access to a seasonal outdoor swimming pond and a restaurant. The location was perfect, peacefully tucked away on the edge of the woods, but not at all isolated. Our host Peter Jan could not have been more helpful. He was always available to help with any questions and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, well equipped and specious. Both indoor and outdoor facilities are perfect for catering a family for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As a guest of the house, you have access to a a nature lake/pool. My children spent hours swimming, diving from the diving board, paddle boarding and playing, whilst a relaxed with a book. Whether a short trip or an annual holiday, I thoroughly recommend.
