RIKKA BABA ICHI asub Takayama kesklinnas, Takayama jaamast ja Fuji rahvamuuseumist lühikese jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Very nice riyokan. Our family enjoyed it a lot. The checkin with tablet was easy and went very well. The support from the owner was very good : we call late 1st night to understand how to get hot water and received immediately the answer. I definitely recommend and we will come back with pleasure.

Located in Sakashita, 46 km from Gero Station and 24 km from Ōi, ゲストハウス にじゅうよん offers a garden and air conditioning. The house is just gorgeous. Very comfortable, super clean, super tasteful design. On top of, Takashi, who owns/operates a record shop/café next door was the most caring and attentive host you could wish for. He made us feel at home from our arrival. It’s a cute little village. Bakery, ramen shop, grocery. What else do you need. Moving uphill from the place we found beautiful country side views and met really nice people. What a hidden gem. 🙏

Soramachi was a very comfortable house with good facilities. Probably the most spacious and nicest accomodation we experienced in our travels through Japan. Only stayed 2 nights but it provided a relaxing and quiet break from the crowds elsewhere. The house is right on the river and close to a tranquil temple walk and public bathhouse . It is an easy walk from there to the old quarter and we walked to the house with luggage from the station ( 1.4 km). The owners are obviously very house proud and welcoming. Highly recommend this accomodation.
