Oh, this place is both charming with its atmosphere of old-time Japan, as well as greatly located if you are for visiting nearby located old post towns of Tsumago or Magome. Spacious rooms with comfy futons, endless spaces with bedrooms, living room, bathrooms and - which was a fantastic discovery - a Japanese style all wooden bathroom with a bathtub. This was such a relaxing experience after we travelled from the north. 7-eleven is at walking distance, the host is extremely helpful, free parking space just 50m from this beautiful wooden, old, atmospheric, all Japanese style house. We loved everything about it - it had even the hearth in the middle of the living room, like the ones you'd see in the samurai movies. We felt as if we travelled back in time for 200 years! We simply loved it!

Offering a ski pass sales point and ski storage space, HakubaGoryu Pension&LogCottage Arumu is situated in Hakuba, only 100 metres away from the Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort lifts. The pension is absolutely great. The entire family is very friendly and despite them not speaking English and us not knowing more than the polite things in Japanese, they put effort into managing the communication. They are always more than happy to help you with anything. The breakfast is really great, the ski storage room is very practical and you can even do laundry. The room offers everything including a great bathroom to enjoy a hot bath after a day in the snow. There was a lot of snow on one of the days, so we cleared the entrance and the next day discovered that the hosts had cleaned our car from snow. It was a lovely gesture. We were also allowed to leave our luggage in the luggage room after checkout and enjoy one more day of skiing, before picking our things and the car up in the late afternoon.

Neighbouring Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field, Villa Komakusa offers a breath-taking view of the Northern Alps and a cosy cottage with wooden interiors and a ktichen. We loved the log cabin, it was warm, cozy and well appointed. The location was excellent, a short stroll across the road to the ski lift. The owner was amazing and collected us from the bus station and dropped us back with the assistance of his dad. He was so helpful and accommodating and even took 3 of us to the supermarket and had his friend at the ski hire company help us out with rental equipment. We would definitely love to come back.

We have a variety of beautiful and well appointed chalets, located in prime areas centered around the Happo ski resort in Hakuba. Very clean and comfortable home.
