The architecture and design of this beautiful place is stunning. Malinda and his crew were simply the best in making sure all our needs were taken care of and we could not have asked for more.

Boasting pool views, Hilldale Retreat provides accommodation with an infinity pool, a garden and a shared lounge, around 12 km from Gregory Lake. Our stay at this hotel was excellent. I especially want to mention the staff, absolutely everyone was friendly, smiling and helpful. Saskia Ambu helped us throughout our stay, helped us order a taxi and tuk-tuk, explained to the drivers where to take us and what we needed to find. A good attitude was manifested even in non-obvious things, such as giving us water to take with us in the car, treating us to a Sri Lankan dish and giving us a free visit to the sauna, but unfortunately we did not have time to take advantage of it. Breakfast was delicious, dining room was clean, service was fast and high quality. Again all the staff are absolutely amazing. I also want to mention the cleanliness. The room, the bathroom and bed were very clean. Wifi worked well and we were even able to watch a TV series from it.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Shirin1892 is a country house situated in a historic building in Nuwara Eliya, 1.7 km from Gregory Lake. One of the best places we stayed. Very hospitable host.

Offering free bikes and garden view, Oliphant Boutique Villa by Amaya is located in Nuwara Eliya, 6.7 km from Gregory Lake and 14 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden. Very welcoming and polite staff. Quiet place surrounded by greenery, you can just sit down and take a small break there. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Food (breakfast/dinner) was amazing.

Conveniently situated in Nuwara Eliya, La Grande Villa provides express check-in and check-out and free private parking. Most clean hotel so far in Sri Lanka. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Garden is beautiful. Room with many windows and a balcony.

Located in Nuwara Eliya, within 6.9 km of Gregory Lake and 14 km of Hakgala Botanical Garden, Cottage San Francesco provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking... Everything about this place was a 10 for me and my partner. The host and everyone that works there are so Accommodating. Your room is cleaned daily. The breakfast is amazing! Bed was the comfiest we had stayed in during our 2 weeks in sri lanka. The host is really honest about what to look out for in Sri Lanka. He organized me and my partner a really fun day checking out Nuwara Eliya. The scenery where the house is amazing. You're surrounded by a beautiful landscape of tea plantations and local farms growing vegetables and other plants. Something other travelers may not like but we loved is the location. You are a 15 minute tuk tuk to any shops.. I think this is a trade off for how beautiful the location is though. However a tuk tuk was never a issue.

Located within 5.1 km of Gregory Lake and 12 km of Hakgala Botanical Garden in Nuwara Eliya, Lily Bank Cottage features accommodation with seating area. Nuwara eliya is such a beautiful place, and we had the chance to stay at the top hill with beautiful scenery and such a nice and cosy room. The owner wa really welcoming and nice, we had wonderful lunch.

Offering a garden and garden view, Kent Cottage is located in Nuwara Eliya, 2.6 km from Gregory Lake and 7.2 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden. The room was adorable. The view from the room was breathtaking. The housekeeper (Mr. Nalaka) was so nice and he’s the best housekeeper you could ask for. I would definitely visit here again.

Offering barbecue facilities and views of the mountains, Thuring's Holiday Bungalow is set in Nuwara Eliya, 600 metres from Gregory Lake. Free private parking is available on site. Delicious breakfast, very kind staff and great location near Gregory lake.

Tea Hills Bungalow is located in Hatton. Free WiFi access is available in the public areas of this chalet. I had a phenomenal time at the Tea Hills Bungalow. The management was very kind and helped arrange transportation to and from the train station. The room was just lovely and had an excellent view of the surrounding tea estates. The cooking in the restaurant The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were incredibly delicious. The staff was very accommodating to my requests even beyond normal breakfast or dinner hours. The hotel management helped arrange for me to get to all of the places I wanted to visit including climbing Adam's Peak, seeing Castlereigh Reservoir, Devon, and St. Clair waterfalls. I especially thought Luxman was not only an excellent driver but gave excellent advice about the area and just went out of the way to be a warm and exceptionally kind host (with excellent jokes)! I highly recommend this place and hope to return here again.
