Featuring an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi, this hotel is located less than 1 mile from the shops and restaurants at The Domain. Breakfast is offered daily. All the staff were super helpful. The room was large and the grounds were really in tune with Texas-style. Open fires, a pool, games... the bar had live music on the weekends. All round great atmosphere.

Nestled in the Texas Hill Country, this historic inn features a selection of cottages, cabins, and guest rooms. Fast check-in and super friendly! We really enjoyed the scenery. And the bed was very comfortable.

The Tremont House, Galveston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is just 5 minutes’ drive from Galveston Beach. Guests at this hotel will enjoy a flat-screen TV and an iPod docking station in each room. The hotel is drop dead gorgeous after what appears to be a comprehensive and well thought out renovation. This hotel is pure class- in a very beautiful and understated way with hospitality at the core- not show off glitz. The pictures do not really do the rooms justice- our room had a soaring ceiling that made us feel like we had stepped back into a grand old mansion. The bar is extraordinary- an original wood carved masterpiece with a lovely bartender the night we were there. We really enjoyed being able to relax in the bar area in the evening with a creatively crafted drink after a long day of Houston traffic and sightseeing. We only wished we would have been able to take in a meal at the restaurant. After a glitch at check in, Mitchell, who was manning reception, went above and beyond to make sure we got the second room we booked. Mitchell exemplified everything about excellence in hospitality we could have hoped for- and reflected the positive spirit of the other team members we encountered.

Located in the lively Theatre District of Houston, Texas, this boutique hotel is listed as a Texas Historical Landmark and a Historic Hotel of America. The breakfast was excellent to our taste, as it provided very healthy choices such as fresh fruits, yoghurt, smoked salmon and avocado toast. The restaurant and bar served very good food and wine selections, staff was super friendly.

Just a 5-minute walk from The Alamo, this pet-friendly hotel is in central San Antonio. It features an indoor pool, daily continental breakfast and a snack bar. location was great, lots of space in the room

The hotel is in the center of San Antonio, right next to the Alamo. It is an historical hotel; the oldest West of the Mississippi. It was well maintained with exceptional architecture and cleanliness. The staff is friendly and very helpful, especially Tim Smith at the front desk. There is a lovely buffet available for lunches and brunches; one needs 2-3 stomachs to try everything. The hotel boasts a pool and a garden that you can sit in to read your paper. What will strike you when you first enter is the lovely scent, which was especially designed for it. The hotel is definitely value for money, and better than most 4-star hotels in New York.
