There was special chocolate candy in our room upon our arrival and even treats in the lobby area each day. We appreciated being able to make hot tea (and coffee) in our room and the thoughtful beverages provided for us in the mini-fridge. The boxed breakfasts were pleasant treats each morning.
Our room was quiet--we didn't hear other guests. We really liked the two-room suite. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the sofa in the other room either reading or watching TV after we came home from the theater. We were pleased to discover that we had the ability to use our Netflix on the TV.

A pleasant small town even in winter with enjoyable seasonal lights along the river and downtown. A relaxed friendly atmosphere in all the stores and restaurants/cafes we visited. Interesting older buildings in some of the local neighbourhoods.

Always a great visit.
Always a great visit. We go almost every year and see two plays each time and have yet to be disappointed. Stratford is great place to relax, have good food and quite evenings. Don't miss the Stratford Perth Museum, a great learning experience about Stratford! If you have a bit of extra time visit Saint Marys. And, if you like Indian cuisine don't miss Raja Fine Indian Cuisine.
I have stayed in several hotels and inns in Stratford over the years and this one had the best location. It's a little old, but unlike many of the older hotels, it had an elevator which was important for me. I don't walk well, but the location is so good it was easy to walk to all the theatres and the downtown shopping. This meant I did not have to drive once we booked into the hotel, and that I could have a drink in the intermission of the plays. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely book here again.
The property is in a great location, just a block away from the Main Street - Ontario Street, in Stratford. The area is lovely and close to many restaurants. The room was very clean and probably one of the most spacious rooms I’ve ever had. I especially loved the big windows that provided wonderful natural light. It was the perfect space to end a busy day.
A note about the host - Melissa was super nice to work with. She’s very quick to respond and was very helpful in making our stay a positive experience.
The Stone’s Throw Stratford is a very beautiful place. It is tastefully and beautifully decorated inside and has a lovely accessible garden outside. The property is comfortable and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. They are available on site should one need information or assistance; they are helpful but in no way intrusive. Downtown Stratford is but a very short “stone’s throw” away. We would recommend the Stone’s Throw Stratford to anyone looking for accommodation in Stratford.
The staff was wonderful and went over and above to meet our needs. The beds were super comfy and we both had a wonderful sleep. The air conditioner in the room was pretty quiet so it did not disturb our sleep. The location of the hotel is at the centre of downtown which made it awesome to walk to everything, and on the Sunday Stratford has a wonderful open market in the town square and we really enjoyed that!!
Location was excellent with theatre, restaurants and downtown Stratford a 10 minute walk away.
This was not listed as a B&B accommodation; the room provided a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and dishes. The hosts provided coffee and tea, bottled water, fruit and a welcoming bottle of wine - above and beyond expectations!
The rooms were nicely decorated and the 2 hotels were close to everything we enjoy about Stratford - the river, the garden the restaurants downtown. Even though they placed us in two separate hotels (we would have prefered rooms in the same hotel), they were very close (only a block apart) so it wasn't a problem.
The location was prefect for attending the Stratford Festival and we were given great advice. The room was very comfortable, clean, and felt very welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was great and the family was friendly and kind. We loved the stay and will hope to be back if we're ever in Stratford again!
Great location that is a short walk from downtown and the Festival Theatre. Easy to find even when driving through Stratford for the first time.
Sue and Al are both very friendly and helpful! They go out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and comfortable. I would stay here again!
The location of this property is fantastic! It is soooo convenient for enjoying all that Stratford has to offer. The apartment itself is also very beautiful and well appointed, with all necessary kitchen implements. The beds in the bedrooms were also very comfortable.
The motel is single storey so we could drive right up to our unit. It is on the eastern edge of Stratford so it is quiet (except for the lovely sound of bullfrogs in the nearby creek.). As a senior I appreciated the safety bars in the bath/shower.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. They even drove me to the Stratford Festival Theatre and the Railway Station as I didn't have a car. The breakfasts were delicious. The house was very quiet for sleeping.
Clean and comfortable room, with fridge and microwave. Great price, for what we needed. Convenient for location to the Stratford Festival theatres, without paying for higher prices in the area.
The bed was comfy. The room had its own climate control. The location was quiet. Good for walking everywhere in downtown Stratford. Nice to have a fridge as well as a Nespresso machine.
I liked the very spacious rooms. The friendliness of all the staff. Food in the restaurant was excellent. The location of the hotel was convenient to everything in Stratford
