Old hanzeatic city, with beautiful old town (on Unesco list) but also charming port. Good for visiting churches, viewpoints on towers, walking along the streets with gothic and renaissance houses, but also for having a bread with a fish straight from the boat (Or to try local speciality - labskaus). We regret we didn't have enought time to visit oceanarium...

It's one of the lesser attractive hanseatic cities but they always try to offer more. If you go there, expect little. I would recommend to visit Stralsund for slow travelling. One or two relaxing days are enough to enjoy the city and your life. This is what Stralsund is giving. Most activities, restaurants and visitors are in the old town. You can take every public transport quickly to get down town. The biggest tip is the Ozeanum which has its own bus station.

Stralsund is a nice large city with a harbour and beautiful old town. Compared to the other cities we visited in North Germany it was the one with the most entertainment and good stores. I do recommend it for a two day stay

Stralsund is a really pretty City with a port, an old city centre, many museums, a clean big beach and a direct connection to the pretty isle of Rügen which you can visit by train, bicycle, car or you could even walk there over the impressive Rügen bridge.
It was quiet, in the nature, close to the beach and Stralsund.
Since only very few peopled stayed at the hotel we had our own private buffet at the table and it was really great.
In the evening we ate fish in the restaurant and you could tell that ist was fresh and no frozen stuff. It was excellent
Oh and don’t miss the salt grotto, it’s so relaxing. My husband fell asleep
Nice hotel right in the centre of Stralsund. Breakfast was absolutely superb and could be taken inside or in the central courtyard area.
Underground parking was great - but quite expensive for a motorcycle.
Room was nice and spacious and the mini-kitchen was useful - although we only used the fridge.
The room was a bit too warm and no A/C available - only a fan.
The location, and the nearby parking at a reduced rate were both good reasons why we chose to stay at this property. Stralsund had a special event with Military re-enactments taking place throughout the city during our stay, and many of the participants were staying here also, so we were able to learn more about the event during breakfast conversations.
A bus ride from Stralsund town, but right across from the Stortebecker brewery and delicious dinner at the Stortebecker Gastehaus. Our room at the pension was attractively decorated, and the breakfast was the best food we had in two weeks in Germany. Much care was taken to anticipate and provide for whatever guests might want
The personal at the hotel is quite Amazing, very kind and helpful without being intrusive. Room had good space, one of the beads was quite comfortable. Close to water park and mall. Food is amazing, buffet breakfast and dinner was simply awesome.
Great location with everything in walking distance. breakfast buffet is quite big and diverse. Room was quite big and interior had a very authentic and unique design. Not the usual boring mainstream hotel design.
The location was beautiful, under the roof with a great view of the old city of Stralsund and the Marien church. We cooked, and the kitchen was well equipped - walking to the seafront only took 10 min.
Close to the Stralsund main station and nearby to stores and supermarkets. Check-in and check-out was smooth. The room was clean and as expected - going by the pictures
Good location for exploring the Altstadt and Hafen, just 15 mins’ easy walk from the train station. It was so nice to have a supply of ground coffee for the machine!
