Very clean and cozy. The host left us some fruit and very tasty wine, which we really appreciated.
The house is big enough for two people and there is a sweet little terrace outside where you can eat :)
The host is very accessible and getting/returning the keys was easy.

Great location and view. Had everything you could need.
One of the oldest towns on Madeira.. Nicely situated close to Airport. Walkable, many charming restaurants, marina with walkable bus station.. A very charming authentic Portuguese town. Love Machico..

Machico is so much nicer to stay in than Funchal if you like the quieter more laid back vibe. The shops and restaurants are all good but particular praise must go to all the ladies in Pastelria O Gala who worked tirelessly to keep their customers happy at all times - the Pastel de Natas were simply gorgeous and at EUR1.00 each were superb value. Try O Secreta for a really nice evening meal and don't forget to try the bread in Paderia e Pastelaria Flor de Machico

The apartment was spacious and very comfortable.
The apartment was spacious and very comfortable. The location was great ... within walking distance to the beach and also to the village centre. It is also close to the airport.
The name of the apartment was not very clear. In the small print it has Edifico VIP Baie, but I was looking VIP Paradise Apartments.

A lovely town of just the right size, lively but still calm - it has a lot of good restaurants, various stores etc that make your stay comfier than one in a smaller town, without the crowds of a bigger city which can get overwhelming. Funchal is a short drive away, and it is also a great base for all the trips and hikes especially around the eastern part of the island.
And there is a sandy beach well protected from the waves, so almost everyday is a good day for a swim!

Great place for my vacation.
Great place for my vacation. Quiet town providing all you need - supermarkets, one sand and one rocky beach, starting point for hikes and runners trails. Public buses to east part of the island ad Funchal. Bus to the airport - 5min ride for 1,3 eur. Great!

If you are without a car and want to visit most of the tourist places on Madeira Island you should rather look for a apartment in the Funchal city. That's a town where most of the buses go and you are going to have more time for your trips. The Machico city is also great and beautiful but rather quiet and somewhat local.
This is a great place to stay! I highly recommend staying here when going to Machico. The communication with the host is really easy and he is very quick to respond. The location is super nice, in the middle of a cute neighborhood. It's close to the beach (a few minutes walk) supermarkets, bus station and cafes/restaurants. We really felt at home here and would have loved to stay longer if possible. The house had everything we needed (there is even an oven!) and is really clean.
Great guest house right in the middle of Machico, close to the beach. Great communal kitchen facilities and the room was comfy, clean, spacious and stylishly furnished - more like a hotel room, to be honest. Ruben, the host, is very friendly and super helpful - he was lovely to chat to and really made me feel at home, and also gave some good tips. Wifi very good too. And all for a very affordable price. Overall, a great stay!
Close to airport (still on foot is around 1h walking, please pay attention how Google maps marks an airport, usually it makes it wrong and it shows only 20 min).
It has big (for Madeira standard) and flat parking - you will appreciate this if you decide to rent a car.
Good value for money, even though it is close to airport - it is relatively quiet there.
In our room was a fan, which you could use on very hot weather.
This is really special place. Hidden in the village, but what a house! Really nice, clean, and hospitality from owner is amazing. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived (their home made wine) and in the morning he brought us fresh bread. View from terrace is stunning and I only regret I couldn’t stay longer. Next time I come back to Madeira this place is my number one choice!!!
Machico is a great place to stay in Madeira, the village is small so you can easily get around on foot, and the excellent location makes it easy to set out to explore the island. The apartment has a great location, close to large shops, cafes, bakeries, fruit shops and of course the beach, which is great :) The apartment is large, spacious, very clean and equipped with everything you need.
Leandro is a great host! We stayed at the flat for our last 2 nights in Madeira and it was the perfect place to relax after we visited all of Madeira and went on lots of hikes. We saw Machico at night and spent a day in Funchal while we were there. The airport is within walking distance (it takes 30 minutes to walk) and we had everything we needed. We are grateful we found this place.
- Good location a short walk from Machico centre (bakery, supermarket, restaurants) overlooking the bay
- Large house with plenty of space for a family or group of friends, 2,5 bathrooms
- Terrace on the top floor makes for great vistas for breakfast and dinner
- Services like car rental offered by the owners very convenient at competitive rates
The location is very good- 10 min.walk from the center with stunning views over Machico. I had a private room with a bathroom in a private property - with shared common living area and a kitchen. Nonetheless, It felt like i had it all to myself - I barely felt any presence of the owners. They are very nice and welcoming ☺️ I enjoyed my stay:)
very convenient both to town of Machico and near airport although minimal airport noise. impeccably clean and all details were thought of to ensure comfortable stay. very good internet. host very helpful and proactive and professional.
A very nice small family style hotel with a nice restaurant attached. Our room had a nice little balcony overlooking the sea. and a refurbished bathroom. A short walk into town and the beach. No super luxurious but very good.
Spent 10 days there and honestly, it's a perfect place to stay in Madeira. Fully equipped spacious and clean unit 5 minutes away from the sandy beach, the shop, and the restaurants. I couldn't be more satisfied.
Very nice and friendly host. Spacious and clean rooms in a great location with everything necessary. Easy access to shops, restaurant, the airport, and the hiking routes. A huge plus for my vacation in Madeira.
The room was clean and comfortable, well located in Machico. We really liked the kitchen area and having access to crockery and cutlery. The staff was very friendly, make sure to ask them tips about Madeira!
Great location to explore east side of the island.
Beautiful view from the balcony on a quiet street and steps away from the amazing viewpoint.
Close to Machico and all the great restaurants and beaches.
Outstanding views across Machico to the sea with the casa set in a Madeiran garden full of exotic plants. Rooms are modern and clean. Value for the rental price is excellent.
We chose the place for our last night in Madeira to be close to the airport as we had a very early flight. It takes you 5 min to reach the airport and we found it convenient.
super nice and pretty Hotel in beautiful Machico - cozy rooms and a breathtaking view from the Terrasse. also very freundlich and helpful staff - warm welcome by the owner.
I had a great stay at Machim D'Arfet House by Madeira Sun Travel, perfectly located. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. Highly recommended!
