Christina was amazing! We are Americans and don’t speak a lick of Portuguese and although her English wasn’t strong either, (but it’s 2023 and phones and google exist) so that wasn’t a problem AT ALL. She made sure we comfortable and had fun. She checked on us regularly. The location is safe and is in walking distance of great food, bars and shopping. I kinda didn’t want to do a review because I wanted to keep this hidden gem to myself, but Chris deserves all the raving reviews she can get. Thank you so much for making our Rio experience so amazing!

Villa Paranaguá Hotel & Spa - Boutique Hotel se nachází v destinaci Rio de Janeiro a nabízí bar. Pláž Praia do Flamengo je 2 km daleko a Selarónovy schody 600 metrů. The hotel was fabulous and exquisitely refurbished (like, straight out of a design magazine) , with a beautiful garden full of exotic birds and a beautiful swimming pool. If that wasn’t enough what makes it even more special is the staff; everyone is so very kind and polite and genuinely friendly. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home and accommodate your every request. They make you feel very well looked after and as if you were visiting friends (rather than staying at an hotel). They anticipate your very need before you even tell them! I felt very comfortable and at ease and loved staying there!

Tião Botelho Guest House v destinaci Rio de Janeiro poskytuje ubytování jen pro dospělé s zahradou, sdíleným loungem a vybavením pro grilování. The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. Moreover, the host was extremely friendly and very eager to help, advise or give recommendations. Would definitely book the accommodation if traveling to Rio again!

Hotel Casa Nova se nachází v centru města Rio de Janeiro v módní čtvrti Lapa, 10 km od sochy Krista Vykupitele. Součástí hotelu je bar. clean and location was great, next to the hustle and bustle of the city. staff super friendly and helpful and breakfast was great and a lot of options

Hotel Vila Galé se nachází přímo v centru města Rio de Janeiro a nabízí venkovní bazén, kompletní wellness centrum, restauraci, bar a zdarma dostupné Wi-Fi. Vila Galé doesn't disappoint you. From the moment you arrive, you are treated with respect and that warm welcome to Rio. This is our second visit. We chose the renovated antique rooms, high ceilings, with "garden view". Some on the first floor, so do bear in mind there are steps to carry your case up, or if a senior, this because lots of Cruise passengers choose to stay here, close to the port terminal of Mauá. Perhaps choose the modern rooms with lift access would suit better. The breakfast is excellent! Airy place, plenty of tables and food Brazilian breakfast to it's best. To pass the time, the picturesque swimming pool is not only a picture perfect but also warm to swim and catch a bit of sun by the umbrellas, whilst getting the waiter to bring you some refreshments. There's a small shop selling women's "light clothes" with Brazilian fabrics and bright flowers and colours. Check in is 3pm but they can store your bags, also on departure, as check our midday. Nothing is too small to please customers. I really recommend here. And we had dinner as well, not included in the rates, but not disappointed either. A brilliant chef coming up with a simple but delicious menu. The area didn't disappoint. A barber opposite, chemists and 3 big supermarkets (turn right from the reception around 15 min walk. One interesting thing was to find that the supermarkets are cash only or pix payments that I don't have a clue what it is. I just want to point out that the location of the hotel is excellent to explore Rio, walking out catching that Uber to Sugar Loaf is as easy as close. A big thank you to the manager, that made me feel at home. If you arrive very early, and they have rooms available, you can go to your room but will pay 1/3 of the rate. It was a saving grace for us as we don't sleep on planes. And the breakfast (not that we were hungry, was good to have a bowl of fruit and tea then crash in bed. Worth asking.

Hotel Viña del Mar najdete v umělecké čtvrti Arco da Lapa, pouhý 1 km od pláže Flamenco a několik minut od stanice metra Cinelândia. Fantastic hotel, perfect breakfast and professional staff☀️✌️🌴🔥

Hotel Americano se nachází v bezprostřední blízkosti historické a kulturní čtvrti Lapa v Rio de Janeiru a poskytuje klimatizované pokoje s kabelovou TV i bezplatné parkoviště. My room was large and my bathroom had been newly renovated and had a large jacuzzi. I also had a small entrance room that had a fridge and computer table. I was comfortable and overall enjoyed my stay. The location is relatively central although you do have to walk a bit to the metro.
