Located in Kolonaki and housed in the former Canadian Embassy, within 500 metres of Lycabettus Hill and 600 metres of Athens Music Hall, The Modernist Athens provides accommodation with a restaurant. i completely enjoyed my stay at the modernist hotel and would consider staying there again. very clean, large comfortable room. excellent bathroom and shower all in modern and new decor. great air conditioning in the room. really comfortable bed. can see the acropolis in the distance from the rooftop dining area. the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. i was having a little trouble booking day excursions because of the current travel conditions but the hotel staff looked around for me and kept in contact with me while i was out and about in town. they worked hard and found a great half day sunset swim/cruise with several incredible dishes of homemade lunch on a new company yachthop that was perfect especially with the heat. the breakfast-eggs and other breakfast items were a great way to start the day. the hotel has a few little cafes and places to grab a bite about a block away on a side street. even though the hotel is off the main road i didn't really hear any noise. i would definitely recommend staying there. about 30 min car ride (transfer service) from the airport. hotel is about 1 mile from the start of the shopping and town area with all the restaurants near the acropolis. don't let the distance discourage you though. should be about a 5 euro taxi (BEAT app) if you do not feel like walking. the walk is easy. just down the main road and you're there.

Ideally set in the Athens City Centre, Athens Capital Center Hotel - MGallery Collection offers air-conditioned rooms, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a bar. Perfect location, friendly staff, nice rooms and facilities. Nice gym and pool! All in all very pleasant stay.

Located in Kolonaki, one of the most high-end districts in Athens, Coco-Mat Hotel Athens offers elegantly designed units close to major touristic attractions and vibrant areas of the city. It was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on since years (I slept for 12 hours straight 😅). The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. What more to ask for.

In a prime location in Athens, Athens Flair provides an à la carte breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. This 4-star hotel offers room service and a concierge service. Breakfast was a treat and all of the staff was fantastic! The facilities were worth the two flights walk up. I would stay there again especially as it was not right in the middle of Plaka.

Ideally set in the centre of Athens, Academias Hotel, Autograph Collection features free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. This 5-star hotel offers a business centre and a concierge service. Their bathrooms are excellent. Clean. Chic. Lots of water pressure from the rainfall shower head and shower wand. The bed was comfy. The room is cleaned daily, and sheets changed. Big soft bath towels. I couldn’t hear much from the street. It was quiet. The room is equipped with a coffee maker and coffee pods. The lobby bar is cute and well stocked for both morning coffee and evening cocktails. The roof bar is great too, with an enchanting unobstructed view of the Acropolis. In terms of location, you’re a 10 minute walk from central spots like the shops of Kolonaki, the shops on Ermou, lots of restaurants and cafes. The Cycladic art museum is nearby. Metro stations are close. The Syntagma is a very short walk. It’s a good location. The front desk staff was helpful with suggestions and info, including staging airport transfers. And it’s a Marriott property, so you can collect Bonvoy points.

Oniro City features a gym and a wine bar in the upmarket district of Kolonaki, in the heart of Athens. All guest rooms and suites in the property are fitted with a coffee machine and minibar. This hotel is only three years old and looks brand new. The staff is wonderful and friendly and accomodated everything we aksed for. Included breakfast was excellent: it starts with delivery of continental breakfast to your table (not a buffet!), and then you can order addtitional hot items a la carte. Full barrista service is also included. Beds, linens, bathrooms all 10s. Threee restaurants accross the street, one very cheap standard Greek fare and two more upscale but still reasonably priced. The upscale one we ate at was one of the best meals we have had in Greece.
