The free upgrade was much appreciated, but what was really special was the help that was provided when I became ill on the day we were due to check out. They found us a room for another night (at a discount), called a doctor, bought us tea and water etc. They could not have been nicer. Oh, and the breakfast was great.

It was a great value for the money. The bathroom was lovely and very functional. The views of Siracusa Bay were excellent.

Situated conveniently in the Ortigia district of Siracusa, Lanterne Magiche Ortigia Suites is set 800 metres from Aretusa Beach, 2.1 km from Syracuse Small Beach and less than 1 km from Castello... We had a spacious, comfortable, clean room with a large comfortable bed. The staff, especially the breakfast person, were very nice. We had no problem extending our stay for another night.

Attractively set in Siracusa, palazzo salomone features air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant and a garden. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. We liked everything. Best location, convenient hotel, very nice and helpful staff.

The property is hidden in a sweet residential sweet so we felt the sights and sounds of Ortigia authentically. The views from the rooftop terrace are unmatched, the breakfast vouchers at the sweet and delicious Violetta Bakery made our mornings nourishing and delicious, and the location is perfection for seeing all of the island.
