This 5-star luxury hotel in the heart of Amsterdam offers luxurious rooms in an unique historical ambiance with French elegance. A blend of Dutch history and French luxurious contemporary design. The welcome at the check-in was very good. They remembered that I said I like whiskey during the check-in, and next day they left a note in my room said they could arrange a whiskey tasting for me at the bar. It was very thoughtful. Presentation and variety at breakfast was very good. We chose the hot items from the menu and they served them to our table. We took the cold from the open buffet ourselves. We had lunch at the Oriole restaurant. Presentation and taste were very good. Room cleaning was fine, we did not feel uneasy. The location is very central, we walked easly to most places.

The hotel was very nice, clean and the service was great. The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. We did not have an opportunity to go to the restaurants or the bar in the hotel, but hope to do so in the future. The location was good. Amsterdam is a very walkable city and the Monet Garden is convenient to all the places we wanted to visit and to the restaurants we enjoy. We also liked being close to the canal.
