Dioclecio was a very friendly and helpful host and his responses when we messaged him were instant.. Everything was really clean and we had everything we needed. A very beautiful place to stay. We would highly recommend it.

Doté d'un jardin et offrant une vue sur la montagne, le Mountain Eco Shelter 7 est situé à Funchal, à 25 km du cap Girao et à 29 km des maisons traditionnelles de Santana. We loved our Eco Shelter stay! It felt like a real escape. Lovely location, beautiful park and surroundings. The hut was perfect. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. We received a lovely welcome from Dioclecio, who was really friendly and great at communicating. If we visit Madeira again, we will definitely stay here :) Highly recommend. Thank you!

We had the most wonderful stay at the Mountain Eco Shelter. The location is beautiful - the lodges are in a beautiful Ecological Park full of plants and flowers. You can do hikes directly from the lodges. The lodges themselves have everything you need - a great kitchen, a comfortable bed and a balcony with a stunning view. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. There’s even a snackbar down the road where you can grab dinner & drinks. We loved every minute of our stay here and we are already planning to come back again.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!
