Hotel staff are quite helpful if you need travel advice.

We initially decided to stay for 5 days but ended up staying for 14 days. We traveled with our dog and we let the hotel know in advance. Everything about this hotel is exceptional! My dog got his own bed and toy from the hotel. The staffs were so friendly and kind and supported everything you need. From the owners to the managers to the receptionists to the cleaning staffs, everyone was so friendly and thoughtful. We had troubles and they tried their best to help us even took care of our dog when we were not in the hotel room. It’s the every little thoughtful detail that makes this stay truly one of the best experiences! I highly highly recommend spending your time here. Exceptional service, beautiful and super clean rooms, in the city center, beautiful architectural design and history behind this building. Worth every penny!

Offering free bike rentals and night bike tour (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday only), the classic, eclectic Old Capital Bike Inn features rooms that are individually appointed with heirloom furniture and... This beautifully decorated, boutique-like hotel is an oasis in the middle of the city jungle. When we arrived, hot and exhausted, a welcome drink (delicious ice tea), the lobby's smooth jazz music and a super kind receptionist immediately boosted our mood. And things got only better from there! So many details that made our stay not only comfortable, but also memorable: great "à la carte" breakfast, including a take-away option if you leave early, the evening bike tour (made our day and we would definitely recommended it!), small souvenirs and short hand-written messages left in our room every day, and many more. You can arrange everything at the reception quickly and with discounts: fixed taxi fares, massages, even a swimming pool day pass in another hotel (minutes away) for pennies. Also, we really appreciated the honesty of the hotel when they proactively informed us about a nearby construction (which didn't bother us at all in any case), and we liked that they actually executed their environment-friendly approach properly (not changing our towels and sheets every day if we didn't want to). The owner is a great guy, speaks perfect English (like all the staff) and you can tell he's put his heart into this place. It's definitely been one of our trip's highlights and we would recommend it to everyone, especially if you appreciate accommodation gems with character and are not a fan of 'mass tourism'.
