Universal City, Los Angeles – hotely

Close to Universal City, home of more than 50 shops and restaurants, this hotel in North Hollywood, California offers contemporary amenities such as free wireless internet and an on-site restaurant. We are a family of 4, came to stay at Garland to be close to the Universal Studios. Garland has a personable feel to it that started with the check in. Staff members are very welcoming. It is not a big hotel but the premises are very spacious and the quality of services is very high. The room was very clean and decorated with taste but not pretentious. That was expected for the price. The beds are very comfortable and so are the pillows. We got such a good night's sleep there. The room was quiet too. Now the restaurant is another highlight. Very tasty food and we did not have to go anywhere: had breakfast and dinner there. Make sure you make dinner reservations because it gets busy. We have not used the pool or gym because there was no time for it. We did use a fusball table. What a great entertainment for kids after a day in Universal! There is also a nice souvenir store at the hotel, which sells neat quality things instead of junky stuff so common elsewhere. The hotel also provides a free trolley that can take you there. It runs every hour but we used uber to get to universal, it is about 10$.

The Sheraton Universal Hotel is ideally located just 0.3 miles or an 8-minute walk from Universal Studios Hollywood and CityWalk. 10 minutes walk to Hollywood Studio.

The uniquely-designed, centrally-located Tilt Hotel Universal Hollywood, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member offers easy access to Universal Studios, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and NBC Studios. It was clean, great value for money and put us near where we wanted to be.

Cosy, clean, you really felt like home. Situated in a safe and quiet court. We loved staying here and wished we had booked it for our entire LA trip. Coffee/tea cupboard was generously stocked; as a guest there was everything you’d need and a little more. Thank you to the hosts for keeping such a beautiful home.
