Our stay at Ammarin Bedouin Camp was fabulous! The location is beautiful and private. We loved the experience of staying in a Bedouin camp. We sat in the main Bedouin tent decorated in the traditional rugs and pillows and enjoyed tea by the fire. Afterwards they served us a fabulous dinner. The night was full of stars and eerie noises of the desert. We loved it! Breakfast is also included. If you plan to come, you can arrange with the host to be picked up in a 4x4 truck by the entrance to Petra and be driven right to the camp for a small fee (we paid 10 JD for the ride). They can also take you back in the morning. I would highly recommend this place for those who desire the experience of staying in a Bedouin camp. Our hosts were so friendly and attentive. We are thrilled to have stayed here. Side note: If you come in the winter months, bring a jacket. The desert is surprisingly cold at that time. Enjoy!

love everything from Petra Wassaif Camp! 1. Locations: it’s 20min drive from Petra visit center. nice and quiet, apart from all commercials and scams. 2. Value for Money: I had a private camp with toilet and shower, and exclusive view. Comparing with other camps or hotels with the similar commute, this is definitely the best option! 3. lovely staff: Mohammed and his team prepared welcome mint tee and ground cooking dinners for us. They also introduced us every single Jordanian dish that they made. During the time I stayed, there’s a guest had birthday, they made a big cake for him and involved all of us to celebrate. 4. Room: clean, it’s a Luxury version camp with private bath. Every tent has airco and great landscape view.

This is such a special place. I highly recommend. We stayed in the luxury cabins which were lovely, clean and comfortable. But it’s the night time lights, fire pit and the bottomless cups of tea with Arabic music that are truly memorable, magical and unique. Petra is an amazing and once in a life time trip - add this special hotel to your plans.
