This place is amazing. If you are looking for a typical hotel experience, this may not be your place. If you are looking for something off the beaten path more about personal wellness and being in nature, this is your perfect choice. The place was amazing with great hikes and waterfalls directly on the property. The food was excellent. Everything was very clean and the wifi worked well enough. This place offered a great combination of feeling like you are secluded in nature but also providing you with modern day amenities. There arent many guests staying there and at times we felt alone. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Pretty much any reasonable request will be granted. Thank you Johnny and EZ for a wonderful time!

One of the nicest accommodations we stayed at during our trip. The view is spectacular and you can see volcano directly from the bed!

The kitchenette is fitted with a refrigerator, kitchenware and a tea and coffee maker. Beautiful property with an amazing view of Arenal Volcano. The hosts, Wendy and Roger, were so kind and accommodating. There are nearby restaurants and a small markets as well as activities. The Glamping yurts had a bed, futon couch, sink, fridge, coffee and tea, a/c, electrical and a shower. It was nicer than several hotels I’ve stayed in! And waking up to the volcano view every morning was breathtaking.

The tree houses are great, we slept really well. Waking up with this view being outside is just different. A great place to disconnect.

Essence Arenal is an ecological hotel surrounded by Tropical Forest that offers a wellness center to tourists, it is surrounded by gardens and beautiful views of Lake Arenal,... The location is absolutely stunning. I liked my tent and I loved breakfast. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. A walk around the permaculture holds better views than many national parks I visited. Will definitely return.
