Safari Lodge - Amakhala Game Reserve ligt in het wildpark Amakhala. De rieten lodge beschikt over een buitenzwembad, een tuin en een zonneterras. De luchthaven van Port Elizabeth ligt op 88 km... Food was absolutely wonderful. Staff were amazing - friendly, efficient and professional. Having spent countless days in the South African bush, this was a step above it all. To have a game ranger like Martin conducting our twice daily drives was the “cherry on the top”. His lovely attitude, enthusiasm and incredible knowledge makes the Safari Lodge a definite return location.

Gorgeous tented camp set in a lush area, lovely main building with excellent meals served by friendly, attentive staff, tents set off individually for privacy, each with a sweeping view of the preserve. Our guide, Lenny, was very experienced and we learned much about the many animals we saw - lion, cheetah, elephant, rhino, giraffe, many kinds of antelope, warthog, more! We did 6 3 -hour drives; suggest booking enough time to do at least 4-6.

Het Bush Lodge ligt in het Amakala Big Five Game Reserve, en biedt een intieme lodge-ervaring. Mooie locatie, er werd mooi gebruik gemaakt van alle faciliteiten, het bad weer gevuld, de houtkachel was aan in de tent, groot vuur op de houtplaats buiten, goed eten.

Deze tent in koloniale stijl tent beschikt over een eigen terras met zitplaatsen en meubilair in militaire stijl. De badkamer is uitgerust met een douche. Where to start… This safari was everything you want. Our guides were amazing (big shoutout to Johan and Liam) they were so happy, enthustiastic and very knowledgeable. They really care about making it a special event for you and they care deeply about the animals and protecting their enviroment. The accomondation are big tents with a big bed, toilet, shower and our own jacuzzii! The jaccuzzi is located beneath an open sky and i have never seen more stars then i did here. Truly amazing. Food was great, the safari area great, we spotted the big five but they were so much more animals to see. I really loved all the warthogs for example. If you want a real rural (but still luxorious) safari experience, Amakhala 1920s safari is what you should book.

Everything was just perfect. The rooms. The Service. The food. The safaris with Nel. So interesting to learn about nature and animals. She she did the safari with so much passion, professionalism and so much fun. Exceptional. We had the best time ever. We stayed for two nights but it felt like a week. Nothing to add. If any chance we would love to come back anytime.

This spacious tent has a wooden deck with outdoor furniture and panoramic views of the African Plains. It is equipped with a sitting area, tea-and-coffee-making facilities, a heater and minibar. Food was excellent. Staff super friendly and helpful. The lodge and rooms far exceeded my expectations.
