This tent's special features are the pool with a view and the fireplace. Guests will find a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and an oven in the well-fitted kitchenette. Everything was wonderful. It felt very private, had a gorgeous little wooden patio right by the river for hanging out and watching the birds. The room was very comfy, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed. There is also solar power that kicked in during load- shedding, and the wifi was great. Sophia was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed paddling on the river on our last day.

Amazing stay - both facilities, location and the lovely hosts! Make sure to have dinner on premise made by the hosts - it was a lovely experience!

Situated within the Amakhala Game Reserve, Safari Lodge - Amakhala Game Reserve is a thatched lodge offering an outdoor swimming pool, garden and sun terrace. The Port Elizabeth Airport is 88 km away.... Everything was perfect. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our Ranger, Mnoni, was incredible: willing to go the extra mile, knowledgable & humorous. The room was incredible, always cleaned to perfection. The food was simple but delicious. The setup was just wonderful!

Located in the heart of the Amakhala Game Reserve, Woodbury Tented Camp offers an authentic outdoor experience in safari tents. The camp overlooks the ancient floodplain of the Bushmans River. Gorgeous tented camp set in a lush area, lovely main building with excellent meals served by friendly, attentive staff, tents set off individually for privacy, each with a sweeping view of the preserve. Our guide, Lenny, was very experienced and we learned much about the many animals we saw - lion, cheetah, elephant, rhino, giraffe, many kinds of antelope, warthog, more! We did 6 3 -hour drives; suggest booking enough time to do at least 4-6.

Situated in the Amakala Big Five Game Reserve, Bush Lodge offers an intimate lodge experience. It features an outdoor swimming pool, viewing deck and a number of game drives and bush walks. Everything, amazing lodge, rooms. The food was fantastic, the staff were wonderful, the safari was wow !! I saw all the animals. Had to pinch myself....they made me a beautiful cake for my birthday 🎂 Highly recommended 👌

This colonial-style tent features a private deck with outdoor seating and military campaign-style furniture. The bathroom comes with a shower. A picture perfect camp on a fantastic game reserve. The camp was exactly as sold which is exactly what we wanted - rustic but homely and comfortable. You get multiple chances for drinks (alcoholic and non) and 3 meals a day which are very tasty. From start to finish we were made to feel welcome by the whole team who clearly love their jobs and are very passionate about conservation and all things nature. Our guides Lungi and Yohan were both incredibly knowledgable and friendly. Riaan’s bush walk was a particular highlight - what this man doesn’t know, isn’t worth knowing! We have all done safari before in different parts of Africa but all agreed this was the best experience we’ve ever had and will definitely look at coming back in the future.

This luxury tent features a private deck with panoramic views of the reserve. It comes with tea -and-coffee-making facilities, a fan and safety deposit box. We had an amazing stay in Gorah. Everything was perfect: the game drives, the lodge and the tents, the staff, the food, the care for the details. The only pity is we stayed only one night.

Located at the Tree Tops Safari Lodge, perched high on thatched platforms with decked walkways. This tree top, thatched-roof luxury tent offers a private balcony with panoramic views of the valley. Everything was just perfect. The rooms. The Service. The food. The safaris with Nel. So interesting to learn about nature and animals. She she did the safari with so much passion, professionalism and so much fun. Exceptional. We had the best time ever. We stayed for two nights but it felt like a week. Nothing to add. If any chance we would love to come back anytime.
