I was worried about staying at Little Mongena during winter. And I can confirm that you should not be concerned about visiting them during winter. Little Mongena goes out of their way to keep you warm, and we had blast meeting people from all over the world, the food and the game drives.

There is some small game roaming around on the plot and for the big game the owner drives you around himself. We even saw a black rhino, very special.

My mother and I booked onto one of his game drives at the lodge staring at 5AM and I cannot recommend it highly enough! It was the most incredible experience we have ever had ! Honestly its the best value for money and the next time I am back in south Africa I will go straight back there!

This mobile home consists of 1 bedroom, a seating area and 1 bathroom with a bath and a shower. We had an absolute wonderful time. Amy was so much more than we expected. The owner is an extrodinary lady that goes out of her way to make your stay memorable. Glamping extrodinare! Will definitely be back. The fishing was not bad either.

A very nice and welcoming family made us feel at home at once. We felt safe walking around in the neighbourhood and met a lot of friendly sowetans. Lunghi, the owner of the house, has lived his whole life here and he is a very interesting and authentic guide with strong opinions about the development since apartheid.
