She gave my husband and I a warm welcome despite our late night arrival at 11pm. She even came back at 7am to prepare breakfast (original timing was 8-10am) upon knowing that we were leaving early. Breakfast was extra hearty and delicious because the owner added kindness and love to it. Totally recommend this place for anyone visiting VOH.

Good-sized room, towel& handwash in bathroom, quiet street, professional welcome. I specially liked the kitchenette that guests can use, with an electric kettle & coffee available at any time & a microwave (I didn't use the latter). For a small extra cost I upgraded to a double room with private bathroom. The Terraustral bus from Chaiten dropped me almost at the door (this is thanks to lovely Terraustral driver, not the guesthouse!).

A recently renovated guest house, Esquina Huella Patagónica offers accommodation in Coihaique. The property has mountain and city views. This hostal is an oasis for travelers to the region! The host, Gabi, is exceptionally friendly and helpful. She gave us a lot of advice about things to do in Patagonia. I loved the giant map on the wall to help us with our planning, and we could use the well-provisioned common areas at all times of day. Breakfast was homemade and delicious.
