The bus stops literally at the front door of the hostel! Couldn't be more practical. Was impressed how comfortable and clean the place is. Really the cleanest hostel i have ever seen!(specially bathrooms which are usually the biggest concern when using shared facilities, were spotless, even though there were lots of people). There are many books, board games and a pool table for the rain moments, also multiple maps with info on trails and interesting outdoor activities. Very well located. The little cabin for family is really cosy, with private bathroom. We had a tv in the cabin, free wifi and even a safe. Prior to coming to the hostel, we received all instructions how to access and get the key for self checkin and checkout Large kitchen space and very clean too.
Nice little hostel in a great location. Cosy comfy rooms and very clean.
To date the best hostel I've stayed in. 5*
Lovely, comfy hostel, friendly and helpful reception. Clean, comfy beds. Great lounge and seating areas, plus lovely clean kitchen. Well-stacked bar with Ness beers and a range of whiskies. Great location right off the Great Glen trail and a short walk from the Co-op. Vying for best hostel on this trip!!!! Would go back and highly recommend.
Warm and comfortable. Double bed super comfy. The bunk beds were a bit hard but probably more suitable for kids 😂 Great location - short walk to supermarket and the Loch Ness Inn for dinner. Communication from owner was excellent.
Great location, food available and a pre agreed time, safe parking
great location. The hostel had a very nice character to it. Also the staff are very helpful and friendly.
The best hostel I've ever stayed in. Spacious rooms with comfortable bed and en-suite bathrooms - cleanliness is exceptional, kitchen and common area are great, and the stream at the back of the garden is wonderful to hang out at.
Cosy backpackers' hostel, sparse but nice. Perfect stay if you're on a budget. Really nice beers on tap, do request the Scottish recommendations.
After staying in self-catering accommodation it was great to be in a hostel with a lot of like-minded people - a woman up from London running a marthon, a group of German climbers, everyone in love with the outdoors - lots of great books for free. We had a good, cheap and hot dinner - my veggie haggis was great - and breakfast set us up for the day. Great location close to Fort Augustus - perfect for seeing Loch Lomond and as a stopover on the way from Skye to Loch Lomond. Friendly laid back atmosphere much appreciated.
