All rooms contain bunk beds, and there is a large, glass fronted common room for guests to relax in, along with Wi-Fi internet access. The property also has guest laundry, luggage and bike storage facilitates. Super friendly and helpful staff. Big spaces with great views.Everything was super clean, including the bathrooms. For a hostel first experience it was perfect, would stay again at any YHA.

Astor York Hostel is set in a Grade II listed Victorian building, just a 15-minute walk from the historic centre of York. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. The property can only accommodate guests over the age of 18. Everything. I would go back / I will return. Family place, cool kitchen (there’s an oven), bar, living room with piano, chess and video projector, Netflix and co. Close to the centre. The private rooms are en suite.

Set in a secluded valley, this converted linen mill is only a 10-minute walk from the historical village of Osmotherley. Cote Ghyll Mill offers a games room with a pool table and free Wi-Fi in the public areas. extremely friendly and welcoming, very clean and functional rooms, nice and new ensuite bathroom.

Situated within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, YHA Grinton Lodge features many nearby hiking routes and mountain biking paths. Traditional limestone barns and wildflower meadows can be seen in the surrounding area. Free private parking is also on offer. Beautiful old moorside hunting lodge turned hostel. Really nice spot to take a wander among the heather. There was a full kitchen available for use.they had a great selection of pamphlets and maps of the Yorkshire Dales.

Situated within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, YHA Hawes features free private parking, a garden and an on-site restaurant and bar. Overlooking the Wensleydale countryside, the hostel is just 7 minutes’ walk away from the Pennine Way National Trail. Hadn't stayed in a hostel for a while, but the facilities were very decent in this one. Had a solo room, although without en-suite facilities. The Eastern European lady behind the front desk was fantastic, and couldn't do enough.

Situated alongside the coast in North York Moors National Park, YHA Boggle Hole is next to a bay that was once an infamous smuggler’s cove. The property is set over 2 buildings, including an old mill and there are picnic areas and a courtyard.

The setting of an interesting building could not be bettered. Staff friendly and atmosphere the most genuinely relaxed I've experienced. Lots of books to read and local information.

Safestay York Micklegate has private bedrooms and bright and airy dormitories, all with personal reading lights and orthopaedic mattresses. Private rooms also have air conditioning and a personal safe. Beds were super comfy and the facilities were clean. Staff was also super accommodating and kind!
