Opened in April 2013 with brand new facilities, Piece Hostel Kyoto is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. It features a spacious and comfortable lounge, a tatami (woven-straw) terrace and a wall-size map with latest event information around Kyoto. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property, while portable WiFi devices are available for guests to use during their stay for an additional fee.

Private rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV and a washbasin. A semi-double size bunk (120cm wide) in the dormitory rooms comes with a luggage space and a security locker. I loveeeeeee everything about this hostel. The common area was beautiful and cozy. The shared bathoom are clean and equipped with Dyson hair-dryers 😱😎 The location next to Kyoto Station was ideal to take the Kyoto metros and bus.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple is 1.8 km from the hostel. Perfect location with many sites and restaurants within walking distance. The subway and buses are right on the doorstep of the hostel. Very comfortable beds. Spacious showers and lots of ammenities. Would definitely stay again!

Towels and toiletries are only provided, while shared bathroom facilities are gender separated. Yuki is an amazing host and the guest house has everything you could ask for, including a common use room and kitchen with fridge, freezer, gas stove, water filter, etc. Washing machine is outside. If you want to go to a bathhouse, there will be bags with soap as well as yukatas you can take with you. I made lots of use of the bicycles you can rent at no cost during your stay. The surroundings are quiet and relatively close to temples and nature walkways. The next subway station is about 15 mins on foot.
