The staff was very friendly and kind. Facilities are amazing! They have a huge fully-equipped kitchen with gas stoves, free tea, coffee and condiments.
The hostel is located in a refurbished school which it looks like to be also a community center, there are other business in the same building; pizza restaurant, cafe, gym etc… never seen any place like it!
The hostel walking distance from the station, Lawson, drug store etc…
If you want to travel to Ginzan Onsen this is the perfect location and an affordable price.

The hosts were more than friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. The floor heating in the rooms provides warmth without decreasing humidity. The most comfortable stay I had during my ski trip. The hosts will drop off and pick up guests at the lifts so you can enjoy the Zao mountain. Not much around the location so be sure to eat before returning to the hostel.

Exactly as I would expect, clean, tidy, staff friendly. Still can't get used to the pillows budget Japanese hotels provide so I pack a little one. Apart from this the room is very comfortable. A cooked breakfast is not offered at this APA but muffins, toast and coffee provided in the foyer in the morning. Convenience stores close by if you wanted a cooked breakfast.
