The views of the mountain were beautiful. The extra money for breakfast wasn’t quite worth what we got, but all the staff were lovely and room was comfortable and clean.

This is a lovely hotel, comfortable, with excellent staff, an outstanding location, and very convenient for anyone who wants to experience a ride on the Ullswater 'steamer'.

Good price for a 'twin room' which was quite big and actually had 3 sets of bunks, but only two of us in it. Drying room is a great facility in YHA hostels, if you've been out in the rain or have washed some clothes. I liked the option to buy breakfast & dinner from the hostel although I mainly used the self-catering kitchen. Excellent walking opportunities all around. We enjoyed a boat trip from Glenridding, including the option to disembark for a while for a walk.MoyraTravelers with friends

Vegetarian options too..kids were free dinners with paying adult ..kids breakfast free under 10 . Amazing !. Bathroom was clean and good facilities. Self catering kitchen also on site. The surrounding area was beautiful and picturesque. There was free parking .
