I had reserved a single room but was upgraded to a larger room. I really enjoyed the high level of service, friendliness of staff and that the room catered for all needs. It felt like a family owned hotel where all the guests needs are catered for. As I left very early I did not have the opportunity to enjoy the breakfast, but the portwine welcome tasting was great and I really felt that there was a high focus on the guests comfort.

The hotel was great! Our room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Eric who was very kind and professional. The breakfast was good and with lots of options. The hotel is a bit of an uphill walk, which can seem challenging at times, especially after a day of walk, but nevertheless it's not much of a problem for those who love walking! And also, uber was cheap there, so you can get to hotel by car for few euros. Either way, I would recommend this place.

Breakfast was good, if a little poor on choice. More than enough to get started though, and the convenience of having it delivered to the room (as well as the wide range of times available to have it delivered) vastly outweighed any shortcomings of the breakfast itself.
