The location is excellent - near the river, and a short walk up to the Sao Bento train station plaza, which also is the meeting/starting place for many tours. The studio-apartment was spacious and well-appointed. Theresa and Paulo, nearby, were very helpful and pleasant hosts. We walked everywhere, and were glad not to worry about parking a car.

On a street with a variety of restaurants. 3 minute walk to Trindade Metro station that connects to every other line (including the aeroporto purple line E!) 6 minute walk to Sao Bento train station for connections to day trips. Always felt safe walking to and from this location, even late at night. Really, truly a superb location. Wifi was great. The 2 space heaters worked very well. The window seat was a nice place to sit.
