S.F. Has become unbearable. It is a cesspool.
S.F. Has become unbearable. It is a cesspool. Literally a cesspool! It is fouled beyond belief. If you have nostalgic feelings of S.F. from your childhood my advice to you is to NEVER return! Unless you savor the aroma of fresh and stake human waste your cherished childhood memories will be forever tarnished should you decide to risk your own life to venture back to that God foresaken place!

Great.
Great. Go there for nice fotos of the city, the bay , Alcatraz, the seals and their noice. If you accept restaurants with "special prices" sometimes called something else , then go for it ( or not).

Be ready for crowds and a tourist spot.
Be ready for crowds and a tourist spot. That being said there are a lot of dining options for every budget, shopping is what you would expect. Take the time to walk around the area and get an Irish coffee!

Very nice Pier. Full of restaurants and shops.
Very nice Pier. Full of restaurants and shops. The quality of the restaurants there though is not always the best.
You can look for the sea lions at the end of it. You will see them lying very close.

Everyone was extremely friendly, the hotel was clean, and it was a short walk to Pier 39. They had a patio of fire pits and offered blankets and s'mores kits for free in the evenings. The hotel is attached to a nice Italian restaurant. We got a Margherita pizza to bring to our room and it was delicious. It was an $11 Uber ride from Zoe to the Davies theater downtown. It was perfect for our mini weekend getaway.
Everything the hotel's location was perfect. We were walking distance from fisherman's warf, Ghirardelli Square, pier 39 ,shops, sight seeing boat rides and plenty of shops.
Fantastic location, very central for exploring San Francisco. Walking distance to central square and Pier 39. Quiet and safe at night, with comfy beds. Free parking!
The location was perfect. I enjoyed the closeness to a wonderful diner, Walgreens, CVS. The hotel was close to the bus line which took us to Pier 39. The front desk staff were very kind and Very helpful. The bellman also very courteous. The room was very clean and bed very comfortable. On my travels I wished I had this hotel to relax in. Thank you for your excellent service.
The hotel is very conveniently located near to Pier 39 and is at walking distance to the places I planned to visit.
The hotel had a parking place also with locked gates and it was an added advantage and safe.
The rooms were spacious and clean and front staff was very helpful.
Location! The hotel was right across the street from Pier 39. We were located by plenty of things to do. We parked the car for the 2 days we were there as we didn’t need it. We all enjoyed the game room and outdoor patio. There was plenty to keep everyone entertained in the in between times of sightseeing. The hotel was very clean and nice and we loved the industrial vibe for sure! Overall a wonderful place to stay and I am so glad we opted for Hotel Zephyr.
Love the Abaca Restaurant at the Ground Level. The Hotel's close proximity to Pier 39 and many restaurants.

What Guests Said About Pier 39:
There are so many different parts to the city, with quirky places best found on foot - from walking along Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, to huffing and puffing up Hyde St to Lombard St for the view, then down the Crooked St, then round the streets of Chinatown with its unusual foods and cheap gift shops, down to Union Square expensive stores and restaurants - and of the course the famous cable cars, which you can get from Market Street

And why not try breakfast at Lefty O'Doul's in Geary Street, with lots of memorabilia around the walls about this famous baseball player, manager and coach - even if you've not heard of him (we hadn't!).

We caught a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and had it to ourselves
Get up early (0700). We caught a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and had it to ourselves. Most places not open but had breakfast at Denny's in the Holiday Inn. We hired a bike and cycled across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and got the ferry back.
