They advertise the pagoda, but this is really a huge complex of new temples for tourist, and the pagoda is just one of these many constructions. The views into the far distance are of nice karst scenery which is nice towards the end of the day. But really? Not much worth seeing in our opinion. Beautiful place with little temples nestled amongst those karst mountains. You can climb the stairs right up to a smaller temple behind which you can get to a cave. Follow the stairs up to another part of the cave to an opening on the other side of the mountain with a great view. It can be crowded but it is great when no one is around. The earlier the better. to the very right of Bich Dong entry gate you can follow a path up the stairs again that takes you to one of the most peaceful place I've ever seen, there is also a little cave you can visit, a man offered to guide us for some money.GillIreland

We also used Linh's laundry service and bicycle rental. We went everywhere by bicycle: Trang An, Mua caves, Bird garden (Thung Nham), Bich Dong Pagoda, Thai Vi Temple. I also hired a bicycle from them for 50,000 for the day .. easy biking to Mua Cave and Bich Dong Pagoda

I rented an old bike from the hostel for $2 USD a day and absolutely loved biking to the bich dong pagoda, mua caves, the bird park, Trang An, and through the rice paddies in tam coc. The location was a great starting point for biking, although if you are looking for a nicer bike, maybe rent one in town.
