We stayed here two nights, and we loved it! The cottages are as cute as in the pictures, and very clean. It was a bit cold when we were there, so we had the chance of lighting a fire in the fireplace of the room (wood and stuffs to light a fire is provided in the room), which made the evenings extra special. The staff is very welcoming, and the restaurant very good. All in all, a delightful stay!

With mountain views, Hortensias Chalets Vara blanca is set in Heredia and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, terrace and children's playground. We stayed at this amazing chalet style rooms and were completely blown away by the beauty of this property, the views are mesmerizing and the beds are super super comfortable- everything for a great nights sleep. They have a game room on a lower level of the restaurant which is great for kids. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thank you for such a warm hospitality! Oh and they grow their own strawberries! You Have to try it.

The lodge is beautiful, set in the hills next to a rain forest. My room reminded me of log cabin but with a modern bath room. I loved sitting on my balcony with the beautiful landscaping of trees & flower plants. I would awake to see the sheep grazing on the hills. You can walk into a little forest to a running creek, very cool. All of the staff are wonderful, and the owner Ruben is great & very helpful letting me know all of the things to do in the area. And the breakfast & dinners are very good, they have an awesome chef. I will definitely be back to stay here again!!

An oasis in the rainforest. However what made our stay was the prompt help from staff when i twisted my ankle and they arranged for a doctor. There’s nothing more telling about a place than how they deal with things going wrong. So grateful for every they did .

With garden views, Chilamate Rainforest Eco Retreat is situated in Puerto Viejo and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden and terrace. It was stunning. The rooms were more like apartments. The staff were wonderful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious.
