A bit far from everything but that's what makes this place so peaceful. All of the staff are extremely friendly and polite. Food is fresh and delicious! Best hotel on Ometepe.

We enjoyed the warm hospitality of our hosts, Hanna and Hakan, who welcomed us to their home, shared their food, showed us around the farm and made us feel at home!. It was a very special experience for all of us, we had never experienced something similar on our travels before. We picked organic greens for salad together, participated in milking the goats, searching for eggs, processing Cacao and Cafe grown on the farm, enjoyed making our own pizza in their clay oven, and baking the most delicious brownies from their cacao (and recipe!). The farm is beautiful and relaxed, the casita has comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and spacious outdoor dining area with hammocks to relax in. Breakfasts where homemade, yummy and varied, and on top of all of these, hauler monkeys visited nearby every morning!

Boasting a permaculture farm and exotic edible fruit forest, La Bambouseraie, is set in Balgue, within 16 km of Maderas Volcano. A balcony with garden views is offered in each unit. everything- staff are exceptional, kind and helpful, surrounded by organic produce, x 4 farm dogs that are so cute, the huts are clean and very relaxing. thanks for hosting us!

Really lovely place, super green. The casitas were all clean and exactly what we were expecting. Staff were lovely. No complaints.

Offering an extensive and beautiful garden, and rustic décor, Hostal y Restaurante Rancho Merida is located just 1 km from Mérida town centre. Free WiFi access is available in all areas of this lodge.... The setting and surroundings are lovely with the cabins and rooms in pleasant gardens. Merida is quite remote and peaceful. The range of activities offered was good, we particularly enjoyed the kayak on Rio Istian. The food was tasty and freshly prepared with generous helpings. Our room was clean, with daily cleaning offered. This place had lots of potential and if you are wanting to stay somewhere remote and away from the crowds then it is both.
