There is a lot to like with this hotel. The location put you within walking distance to many sites. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. The staff constantly made sure that you had what you needed. At one point my wife had an upset stomach and the staff was quick in making sure she was treated. They went as far as going out and getting her chicken soup. John and Elizabeth were awesome hosts and made the stay memorable. I recommend you have them take you on their tours. Their tours are customized for you. I highly recommend this hotel. "Mi hermana esta en la cocina"..."Cuy y Biscocho!!!"

Everything was really good, specially the attention that we get from Gloria and Hernan, they made us feel at home and helped us with every detail of the trip, including an excellent tour around the historical center by Hernan, who knows a lot of history of the city and the Ecuadorian culture. The Hotel is good located, it is in a quiet traditional neighborhood within the historical center and we felt safe during our stay. We highly recommend this Hotel and their hosts.

Lovely old building, beautifully restored and decorated and comfortably furnished. Very convenient location, walking distance of everything, including the tram stop to the bus station and airport. Spacious bedroom, fabulously quiet, comfy bed, extensive buffet breakfast. Shared balcony with sofas and chairs to relax in the open air if, like us, you prefer to be outside in the daylight. Very pleasant, helpful and friendly staff. We were able to leave our bags after checking out and after a day exploring Cuenca relaxed in the hotel lounge for a couple of hours before our evening flight to Quito - so much nicer than waiting at the airport! This hotel is the best we’ve stayed at in our four weeks in Ecuador and perfect for a two or three night stay.

Quito es una ciudad pequeña. Se puede recorrer facilmente a travès de la ecovìa(bus, muy barato 0,25 US$) o bien en taxi(es barato también), también para caminar. Imperdibles el Centro Histórico, Plaza Mayor, Principales Iglesias y monasterios, Teleférico de Quito(excelente vista), Capilla del Hombre y Casa de Guayasamin, Parque La Carolina. Para comprar libros sobre galápagos y ecuador Librimundi. De noche se puede ir a la Ronda o Misquilla. Tomar el Canelazo(muy rico), comer comidas de la sierra típicas. Chocolate y Cafè son regalos perfectos de muy buena calidad son estos productos ecuatorianos.Desde Quito se pueden contratar tours a Otavalo, Mitad del Mundo, Cotapaxi, Mindo, etc. Si tienes tiempo ir hacia el oriente, o bosque nublado.
