We had a wonderful stay at Clos du Roc, it was very easy to get to from Orly Airport in Paris, and the perfect place to begin our stay in France. The owners and hosts were very friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. They helped us navigate the chateaus of the Loire Valley and their very lovely remodeled guest house was so comfortable to come back to after an active day of touring. An added bonus was their beautiful garden full of sweet bird sounds that we enjoyed with a cafe in the morning and a cocktail in the evening.

Very nice and spacious place. Welcome bottle of wine offered by the property owner. We had a very good and helpful communication with him, thanks a lot, Anthony! Apartment provides all the amenities you will need for a long and pleasant stay. Located under the Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire itself (pictures attached to this review). Apartment is close to all the places of interest in the Loire Valley. We find it easy to visit a plenty of Château's around. And winery’s as well. We had a great stay here. Thanks! :-)

The host and hostess were delightful. The wife spoke English well enough to for someone who did not speak French to speak with and the husband, who spoke virtually none, was happy to chat with me about a wide variety of subjects, particularly his garden. The hot chocolate was homemade and delicious, and their cat Albert was happy to give us our cat fix far from our own. The town was well-situated for excursions to the castles in the Loire Valley, and there were restaurants available about a 15 minute walk from the hotel.

We wanted a hotel a bit outside the town center, with a secure place for our car, and found just that, but we also found so much more. This is a quite family hotel, run by the most welcoming and friendly staff, from the women who welcomed us when we arrived to the owner couple serving us the best French breakfast you can desire. We were just driving through, and stayed just one night, but if you want to explore the Loire valley, Castel Fleuri in Tours is the place for you. We will return and do that!

My partner and I stayed in the hotel two days. Excellent service, very friendly manager and staff. The, dinner and breakfast were superb. The hotel is next to Chateau de Cheverny, very close to Chateau de Chambord. It's location in the Loire Valley is an excellent spot to stop and enjoy excellent food , some of the best I've ever had, explore the region full of history and breathtaking chateaux. Absolutely recommend the place to anyone. Simply beautiful, the food excellent.

This was our second stay at this hotel, we returned with family as loved the first visit so much! The staff are absolutely wonderful and so very friendly and helpful. The rooms we had with the balconies were superb for sitting out on in the lovely sun with a glass of wine! I just can’t praise the food enough here at the restaurant…..it’s the best restaurant in a hotel I have ever come across. Definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return to the Loire Valley soon.

Amboise is a really nice base for touring the Loire Valley. The town is beautiful because it’s built around a castle, and there’s a lot of good bakeries and restaurants. Parking in the free lot is easy and convenient, and the apartment itself is just steps away from the bustling main town area while also being on a quiet street. The host was super nice and friendly and even found us a reservation at one of the best restaurants in town during the busy Bastille Day week.

What a gem of a place! Beautiful apartment right in the center of the old town. Air condition in every room (including bedrooms). I can hardly think of a better place to stay in Saumur (which by itself is a beautiful old town in the Loire valley). The old town square with an abundance of restaurants and cafes are literally just around the corner. Plenty of shopping opportunities in the long, narrow streets nearby. This is the ultimate French country town experience!

This is the best place I've ever stayed in in France - beautiful chateau that has been lovingly restored. Friendly owner and staff that are always helpful. Amazing room, beautifully decorated with huge bath and shower overlooking beautiful grounds. Amazing pool, games room, games area in gorgeous lounge area. Attention to detail just fabulous, a real gem ! The chateau is brilliantly located close to the pretty Amboise and to explore the Loire Valley

Despite staying in a lovely chateau, the experience and service was friendly and without pretense. The two-level room was lovely and the grounds were charming...this was easily my daughter's favorite stay during our travels across France. Exposed beams, a charming parlor for a late evening drink, a lightly used swimming pool... if that's the vibe you want, this place delivers. Convenient to the big Loire Valley chateaux, wineries, etc.

The location was perfect but what made this hotel stand out was the helpful friendly staff. From the two gentlemen who worked on reception who helped with parking , suggestions of restaurants and maps to the breakfast ladies and cleaning staff everybody went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We have stayed at several hotels during our tour of the Loire valley but this one by far stands out as the best- we will definitely come back …

Excellent location - literally a stones throw from Main Street in Amboise. very quiet later in the evening though with no disturbances overnight. lovely views over Loire valley and side of Chateau right outside the entrance to apartment Ample sized balcony. lots of little touches such as milk/tea and even bottle wine left out for us. sofa bed was fine to sleep on and main room good too. hosts were easily contactable and helpful.

This is the loveliest hotel I have ever stayed at. The decor is delightful, the service was above and beyond, and the location was super central while also being quiet at night. The rooftop terrace is gorgeous with a view of the Cathédrale Ste-Croix. We only stayed one night; I wish we could have stayed longer, as it was a major highlight of our trip to the Loire valley. I will absolutely book here again if I’m back in Orléans.

The location to Tour old town is perfect. Great for our overnight mid journey break to South of France in both directions. The hotel is basic, but very clean and comfortable with plenty of street parking. Eric is a great host. The fresh pastries for breakfast and coffee was very welcome. We will stay again when we plan a longer stay to explore Tour and the rest of the Loire valley.

A very nice hotel and the location for visiting the Loire valley is perfect! The room was fine, clean and the bathroom also clean. I recommend the breakfastlbuffet, makes you ready for a nice day. The man in the reception, Oliver I think his name is, was fantastic giving information about what to see and visit. A big help. He also helped us finding a restaurant.

Clean and well equipped with good parking for a stay exploring Saumur and the Loire valley. Cycle routes and walking from directly outside of the apartment. The owners have ‘embraced’ holiday usage with many additional thoughtful touches - local wine, home made conserves etc. Hope to return, the apartment suited our purpose exactly.

From the service, to the rooms to the absolutely exquisitely designed restorations and modernizations this is one of the most memorable properties I have ever stayed in. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Loire valley. The hotel is a piece of art and amazing value for money. You will not regret staying here.

Gorgeous property, I honestly could stay here for a month and just relax! We used it as our hub for exploring the Loire Valley and I almost didn’t want to leave the hotel! We loved hopping on the bikes to cruise around and the food and wine at the restaurant was phenomenal. Also the spa is 10/10

Great location near Loire Valley. Apartment in a 19th century castle with a lot of character. Great park around the castle. Very clean, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen. Ample parking. Great communication from host, who works to bring to life this family castle.

The location was superb & gave great access to Amboise & the Loire valley. The apartment was comfortable with most of the facilities required for a pleasant stay. The hosts were really communicative & left lovely welcoming gifts which were much appreciated.
