Lovely property, we travelled with my elderly father and he had the accessibility room and slept really well in the main building and had no complaints. The staff were excellent, room lovely and clean, breakfast was a full English and eggs Benedict, both cooked perfectly.

The staff the hotel and the setting are all absolutely amazing. We were taken great care of and the food was to die for. I highly highly recommend this hotel to anyone spending time here in Glenridding.

Lowthwaite B&B enjoys a location in Watermillock, 8.2 miles from Askham Hall and 15 miles from Derwentwater. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Jim is a superb host. He is friendly yet organised and runs a tight ship. Exactly what we needed as it takes all the stress away. The day before pre-order system for breakfast made our mornings much more relaxed which with two older kids was valuable to us. Jim was also very accomodating helping us with anything we needed, be it an extra heater or fresh towels - and we loved the daily muffins. The food here is incredible, both the range of choice and the quality, all freshly made too. Rooms are spacious, clean and have real charm. We couldn't have hoped for a more pleasant 4 night stay and our two children thoroughly enjoyed their first ever B&B experience in their two floor 'suite'. We have had to warn them though that this is probably the best they will ever stay in, downhill from here. We hope to be back next year.

Woodhouse Lodge offers accommodations in Pooley Bridge, 3.1 miles from Askham Hall and 18 miles from Derwentwater. The lodge was spotless and furnishings were so comfy. The owners have paid great attention to detail and their is everything you could possibly need. The views from the balcony is wonderful. Beautiful touches such as prosecco and fresh flowers on arrival. The hosts are on site due to being a working farm and they are so friendly nothing is to much for them. Only 10 mins walk into poorly bridge.
