The hotel was quite nice. It's away from the nite noise of the main part of town but just a short walk. The restaurant was great, though we only got pizza and calzone but every table had something I wanted. That said, the pizza was amazing. You asked about the bed above. I have a bad back so it's hard to tell, but it didn't hurt so that is a plus. I liked the height, seemed a bit lower than average and I kinda liked that.

Beautiful hotel in a great location only two blocks away from the main street with shops, bars and restaurants, plus only a short drive away from the Gran Sasso park. The staff were very friendly and accomodating with check-in and check-out timings - even arranging for arrosticini to be delivered to us one evening. The room was spacious, quiet and very tastefully decorated. Being in an old building with solid walls the room temperature was cool even when it was 34'C outside and no air conditioning was required.

The proprietor was friendly and accommodating, giving us a ground floor room when he realized the steps might be a challenge for us. The rooms are spacious, the internet is perfect, the bathrooms modern. The associated restaurant had fine food, though a bit pricey. The breakfast includes delicious crostada and other tasty homemade Italian baked goods.

Not at the center of L'Aquila, but a 6-7 min drive from it. L'Aquila is close to Gran Sasso National Park which was convenient for us.

Excellent buffet breakfast...( first hotel so far in our 15 days trip where the buffet was fully available, with many security measures of course, such a pleasure not to be restricted...) Beautiful park just in front of the hotel with fortifications... Really good choice for our step before reaching Gran Sasso... we would definitely come back again...

The building is a beautifully restored traditional old house, the rooms are nice furnished and the bathrooms are modern equipped. The bed and mattress where very comfortable. The breakfast offers more than the usual Italian breakfast. Try the restaurant - the food is great! It was a great experience overall.
