Hyatt Centric Kanazawa features a fitness center, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Kanazawa. This 5-star hotel offers a bar. This a very elegant property. Our king room was large and spotless, it could accommodate comfortably 3 people. We loved the design, the colours, the details that make this a worthy 5-star property. We were very happy with the mix of Japanese and Western breakfast, both in terms of variety and quality. Fast self checkout was appreciated, as we had to run for the train (btw, despite being next to the station, the hotel is very quiet). Overall we loved this hotel and we would definitely choose Hyatt Centric again for our next Kanazawa trip.

Definitely a great place to see if you have a few days, and a love of beautiful views and objects. Cherry blossom season is a great time to explore the famous Kenrokuen park, though the pictures in the brochure assure me that summer and fall are equally pretty. The Ninja Temple is another interesting spot, though you do need to reserve a tour. The Ishikawa Traditional Art and Craft Museum and the Gold Leaf Museum are great for viewing some of the gorgeous local craft work. There are many atmospheric old districts with local museums showcasing the houses of people from several hundred years ago. There is a convenient tour bus, though it stops running before 7pm. The flat roads and great for rental bicycles too.
Small city at Ishikawa Perfecture, combination of traditional and modern value, pretty small town with many things to see, close to shirakawago village (1 hour from kanazawa)
Hakusan
Truly a unique authentic traditional Japanese experience with tatami and garden. The host was extremely helpful despite speaking no English. While the place was out of the way from the main city of Kanazawa, the trade off was a quiet suburban neighbourhood of Japan, very close to a supermarket and an amazing sushi restaurant called Nishikawaya we had 12 freshly made nigiri for a very reasonable price.
Kanazawa
Perfect communication and very friendly hosts! Ask Bungo about the restaurants in the neighbourhood. Perfect location! Next to the entrance to the castle park, near Hakucho promenade (shortcut to Kenroku’en garden and Ishikawa gate), near Ōmichō fish market, and not far from the Higashi Chaya geisha area) Perfect tatami room and very clean Japanese bathroom with a hot bath to relax.
The first hotel we booked had water liking issued. They just informed us at the same day we checked-in. They transferred us to another property, near to Ishikawa station. We had lunch buffet, it was ok, But we did not try breakfast and dinner buffet, because it was the same menu (plus only several additional menus) and the cost so high.
Nomi
As other travellers stated it is a cosy and peaceful hotel. Everything was perfect and we had a wonderful and refreshing sleep. It is very close to station and it has free parking, which if you come by car like us is wonderful! Breakfast was perfect too!! We would love to stay here in any future trips to Ishikawa Prefecture!
I loved all of the amenities this hotel had! The room was pretty big for a Japanese hotel and the TV had actual good channels. It’s definitely a more modern hotel and it was the best one I stayed in Ishikawa. Check in was with a machine so you don’t have to talk to anyone!
Very good Japanese breakfast! Room is big and comfortable. Free soba service at night and sake tasting by Ishikawa breweries (additional charge). Location is great, near Omicho & Kanazawa castle. Fairly near to Korinbo.
It's very close to Kanazawa Station. Everything's good. I wish the restaurant opened during lunch. There was an earthquake the day before so all restaurants in the vicinity were closed.
Location is the best with train and bus station around. KIRARI sushi next to the hotel is excellent!! The staff helped me with an extra charger for the night. Also one international plug socket in the room was crucial. No other hotel during my Japan trip had that. Much needed for my laptop.
My room is extremely big and new renovated. The food is very fresh , delicous and with huge proportion. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Onsen is super . They provided a frequent shuttle bus pick up. The stay is exceptional. Remarks: this is my 2nd time to stay. You should not miss this hotel. Highly recommend
The service, food, ofuro, and room were all impeccable. A great and traditional ryokan experience.
Excellent facilities and lots of “extras” like onsen eggs, free snacks and drinks. Baths were clean and lots to choose from. Staff were friendly and professional. overall a great hotel!
Excellent stay, and the view of the bay from the room was amazing. Both meals were delicious, and we had them in a private room. Also, there were a few private baths. The service staff were amiable and helpful. It is worth a trip to this remote area of the Noto Peninsula.
Good location near the railway station, modern hotel, good service. Our twin room was huge and very comfortable.
The comfort of the room. The service of the staff and the breakfast
Special Service and hospitality
We had a suite with the private onsen which was fantastic. So peaceful, relaxing and romantic. It was expensive at nearly 70,000 yen (approx $700 AUD) per night and we stayed two nights, but the experience was totally worth it. If you can, definitely get this room. The little town of Yamanakaonsen is only about a 15 minute walk and has a convenience store and other gift shops. We found a lovely spot down by the river. The staff were all excellent, as I have found in all Japanese hotels, but I want to make a special mention about a young Indonesian lady (Sushi) who waited on our table. She explained the extensive menu in Japanese to my Japanese wife and again in English to me. Her bubbly personality was a delight. The food was outstanding, top quality and plentiful. Overall one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. The onsen in your room overlooking the river and forest was just perfect.
The staff are really helpful and go out of their way to assist you. We got a big room that was very comfortable.
The room is so comfy and clean. We love it that the hotel provide a kettle and a set of Japanese tea cups for us to make Japanese tea in the room. But what we like the most is the onsen, a Japanese hot spring pool. We went there every single night during our stay. It was a nice treat after a long walk from the sightseeing. The staff at the reception were also very helpful. She helped us make a reservation for us to eat at this very fine tempura restaurant in the Higashi Chaya district since we can’t speak Japanese.
