Port Dickson is a very family friendly area. Most of the people in Negeri Sembilan and nearby Melaka and Selangor would know about Port Dickson. They have very nice hidden beaches and some less beautiful beaches along the stretch. Hotel-wise there are very exclusive and private ones like Avillion and Lexis and also budget hotels for those who are on a really small budget. Travelling is very easy, just drive to Port Dickson and then you can just drive along the coast from end to end and choose wherever you wanna stop. Getting food is relatively easy, it's just hard to know if it's good or not.
