El Skotel Alpine Resort está situado en el corazón del parque nacional de Tongariro y ofrece restaurante, bañera de hidromasaje y bar con terraza y chimenea. The location is stunning. You can get on the trail straight out of the parking lot. We booked a room with a queen bed and a shared bathroom. The room was tiny, just a few square feet larger than the bed but it was very cozy and the shared lounge was spacious. The shared bathroom was spotless. The shared kitchen was well equipped and I enjoyed the social aspect of being around other travelers. We visited during a spring shoulder but I worry that during peak ski season both the kitchen and bathrooms would be overwhelmed.

Suncourt Hotel & Conference Centre offers spectacular views of Lake Taupo and the volcanoes of Tongariro National Park. The room was neat and clean. The bathroom was spacious. Very close to the lake and walkway. Also close to eating places. Breakfast was also very good!

This Millennium Hotel and Resort is located right on the edge of Lake Taupo. It offers luxury accommodation and facilities that include a heated pool, sauna, gym and tennis court. Everything was so clean, the staff was amazing and the food was delicious.

El The Powderhorn Chateau está situado en Ohakune, en la entrada al parque nacional de Tongariro y a solo 300 metros de la estación de Ohakune. What a lovely chalet! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant/bar and hot pool. They also have an ev charger available. We definitely recommend!

Lakeland Resort is situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Taupo. Set on 2.8 acres of landscaped grounds, this resort boasts a tennis court, an on-site restaurant and a seasonal outdoor swimming... Friendly, helpful staff. Really good breakfast. Close to the lakeside path. Good lighting in the room.
