Lilases is located in the centre of Mora, which is a beautiful town in the Alto Alentejo. Lilases has been fully restored and offers great accommodation, beautiful gardens, a swimming pool and very nice food. Great for a peaceful break in deep, real Portugal.
Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Dinner was also good.
We loved the facilities, the peace and quietness that the quinta offers. We enjoyed very much the home made dinners made with local products. Our dog had lovely walks around the property. The swiming pool was extremely clean and quite peaceful.
Location. Friendly support. Clean.
What a relaxing and enjoyable stay! We only stayed one night here on a road trip through Portugal, but I wish we could have stayed longer. This place is so quiet and peaceful. The room felt luxurious and the beds were comfortable. The view was gorgeous, too! My family enjoyed the spa circuit and making a reservation meant we had the whole pool area to ourselves. The breakfast was outstanding, too!
Swimming pool Landscape Restaurant
We’ve been going to Casas da Estação almost every year. We keep coming back. The property is beautiful, the staff is amazing and Beirã is just perfect.
Location of the bungalow given to us was great with an amazing view.
Breakfast and restaurante service and meals are very good.
All OK as expected and well organized. Good room, very good breakfast. (Local) facilities are as expected.
I liked everything, the view is stunning
This has to be the best place we have stayed in our whole trip. We were greeted and treated with unmatched hospitality by Elio throughout our stay. Every morning he personally delivered fresh bread and cakes from local pastelaria to the door in addition to the already fully stocked fridge with water, juices, yogurt, ham and cheese, jams, fresh fruits and other breakfast items. We were also given tours of the impressive collections of many beautiful and interesting historic artifacts from different regions of Portugal. We were also super impressed with the beautiful environment surrounded by peaceful and quiet ranch with cows and sheep and vineyard. On top of all these, the size of the apartment, the views from the back porch, the decorations, the furniture and the comfort of the rooms are all top notch. This is a truly unassuming place to unwind and bring the family to enjoy.
Amazing 1926? building and stay at a now inactive building that is part of the closed Train Station next door. It looks like the Train Station but the ground floor has a large room with a fireplace that was used as a cafeteria eating area. No trains run on the railroad tracks and the location is very quiet day or night. The old kitchen where you make your own breakfast with owner-supplied bread, eggs, etc. has a fantastic original cast-iron range stove and huge marble sink. The entire ground floor is original. The second floor has upgraded bedrooms and bathrooms. Great exterior like Train Station with original Portuguese hand painted blue/white tiles. Hotel-recommended, nearby restaurants are excellent. The man and his sister who manage the hotel are friendly and very helpful. They are great hosts.
I loved the host, Christina! I strngly recommend Monte das MAriolas!
Beautiful place. Very comfortable and amazing hosts. Highly recommended.
Breakfast was very impressive with all choices needed. The surroundings were beautiful countryside fields and gave lots of opportunities for enjoying the pastures. Room and bed supercomnfortable, very quiet and secluded place. I will definitely return!
The breakfast is amazing and the staff are very useful and nice!
The architecture and decoration. The location and surroundings are stunning.
Historic property inside the old city walls. Originally a convent then a military prison this centuries old property has been completely renovated into a model of elegance and comfort. Towering ceilings in the grand dining hall,an immaculately gardened former cloister and an extensive spa area all add to air of elegance. Our “junior suite “ had a massive living room; the enjoining bedroom was only slightly smaller but still large by anyone’s standards. There was a safe and refrigerator in the room. Lights and power plugs everywhere and even a set of USB ports next to the bedside- a first for us in Portugal. The bathroom was also good sized with an immense shower- no tub. The wall mounted hair dryer had a very short cord which resisted being pulled out and you had to hold the on button the entire time- a minor nuisance. A shaving/makeup mirror would have appreciated. Washcloths were provided- also unusual in Portugal. Breakfast was a bountiful buffet and there was also a chef attended omelette station available. Parking is free on the streets nearby or they offer garage parking for 7.5 Euro. The location is perfect- everything in the historic center is just steps away but beware there are lots of steep inclines involved. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge helped us find a tire replacement center nearby as we had a flat on the way. He also set up a private tour of the city at the last minute for us since our flat tire and repair cost us several hours of time we had hoped to spend on touring. Very highly recommended.
