Everything exceeded our expectations.. we have visited 43 usa states over the last 10 years and stayed in hundreds of hotels. This would be in top 5 without doubt. Being one street away from the main road makes it very quiet. The only noise is the (very European :-) :-) ) bell from the victorian courthouse up the hill (see the picture). Recently renovated. The balcony on the Hood Canal (see the picture) was a plus.

A beautiful heritage home with views of the bay, surrounded by a quaint neighborhood where deer roam free. The gardens are tended to perfection. We enjoyed the farmers market and walking only a few blocks to Port Townsend for a movie and dinner. It was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

The room was very comfortably furnished. The castle has 2 bars and a restaurant with excellent Thai food. Recommend the pork sliders and pot stickers! The grounds are delightful to look at.
