High Five Ski Elevator 5 is less than 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel.... The AVS is what we all imagine a ski village lodge to look and feel like. Nice bathroom. Heater worked fine. Full mini-kitchen so we made b-fast every morning. Very clean, comfortable. Fantastic location right next to Lift 1 (main base) - we skied 4-5 hours a day. Walking distance to all restaurants. Friendly staff. And, before I forget, a wonderful jacuzzi (fits 7) and sauna that I used every night to sooth my knees.

Taos Ski Valley is phenomenal! It is above 9,000 feet elevation so be mindful of altitude sickness if you are coming from sea level, as I was. I found some oxygen canisters at The Blake hotel gift shop next door which helped.
This property was very nice and located in Taos Ski Valley, the cutest ski village! The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and the staff was extremely friendly.

The hospitality from the staff was excellent and made you feel like you were at a home away from home.
Great place, great people, great location
The property is lovely. The hostess and the receptionist were very welcoming and accommodating. The hostess upgraded our room so we could be on the ground level at a modest increase in the room rate. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. Highly recommend this Inn.
This was an excellent place to stay. We will be returning later this year.
This place is a wonderful place in Taos at a reasonable price. Rooms are spacious, beds are VERY comfortable, nice hot pool - also open in winter. But the actual highlight is the breakfast. It almost seems like a sumptuous European breakfast with many (freshly made) warm options. And….. you get real plates and cutlery which is very rare for the US. Another nice detail are the wide selection of tees and coffees during the day - together with good quality nachos and cookies.
Unfortunately there is no breakfast during the week. The location is amazing. The top floor room has gorgeous views and a very narrow staircase. There are rails everywhere so there’s no worry and the iwner, Pavo, carried my bag.
People were great. Room was clean and lots of room for two and a dog
Beautiful traditional Taos house, in idyllic setting. Lovely host who went of of her way to make our stay as good as possible. Great breakfast too. Highly recommended.
Deer Lodge is family owned and they treat you like family also. It was within walking distance to the ski lifts and was affordable for the quality of lodging!
Hotel restaurant and bar all in one. Amazing steaks! Loved the slightly modernized step back in time. All the employees were super friendly.
only thing wish more of the restaurants were open and gift shops, I understand off season, but some people like to travel then without all the noise of a lot of people. Everyone we came in contact with was very nice and professional.
