Banana Fan Sea Resort is located on the tranquil southern tip of Chaweng Beach, within a stroll of its entertainment and shopping spots. This is a real gem in Koh Samui! Beautiful rooms and green alleys that you walk directly onto, excellently maintained and comfortable, incredibly clean. The restaurant overlooks the beach and the sun rising over the sea in the morning is fantastic! Excellent cuisine, delicious and varied - Western and local. The pool was also by the beach and the pleasure was incredible. I highly recommend this gem, it is one of the best hotels in Koh Samui.

Located in Na Mueang, 2.4 km from Natien Beach, Samui Fishing Club and Resort provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Henry the very friendly manager found us the following day a room without mold smell (a problem arising from the poor drainage in the bathroom). The Thai food at the restaurant was very tasty and the staff willingly replaced the juice in breakfast with a plate of fresh fruit. They also provided us a reasonably priced transportation to the airport. Given that it was the low season -- the oppressive April hot muggy weather -- and we were a few kilometers from the nearest community, the resort was nearly empty and thus quiet. Next to the hotel is a lovely Buddhist complex, the oldest on the island.
