Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNothing.
The hotel is in new town but very close to the old town and all the sightseeing places. Many restaurants nearby. The hotel has a very peaceful atmosphere. Room was clean and comfortable. Although our room was facing an alleyway, There was a restaurant with outdoor seatings, it was not noisy at all and seemed closed after 10pm. Breakfast was very good with many choices. The staff were friendly and helpful.

What an amazing experience to stay in such a centrally located historical facility. Walkable to everything.

United KingdomNoise from the road outside very loud despite having 2 windows on outside and inside of thick wall and bin lorry/deliveries starts around 6am almost every day. The bells from this building and other nearby churches are loud but only from 6am/7am so throughout the night is ok. Have given score of 8 out of 10 only because of little sleep but otherwise would've given a 10. If sleep heavy then probably OK. I would stay there again, however, would ask if they have rooms facing courtyard or rear of building.
Building is beautiful. Location super central. Comfortable bed with good shower. Very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. No noise heard between rooms as thick walls. Breakfast is a very good continental type with lots of choice of cereals, seeds, jams, breads, cheeses, ham, hard boiled eggs, yoghurts and fresh fruit.

United KingdomI think having some king of manual as to what is at the Guest House (such as the chapel, some background in to the church, its history etc) would be great. But it’s only because I was so impressed did I want to know more and see what else was available for its residents.
I loved staying here. Visiting Salzburg was very impromptu so I only booked for one night before moving on to Vienna. I wish I had stayed another night at the very least, and the Guest House was a big reason for this. It’s a stunning place. Huge rooms, a very nice fresh breakfast with, I believe, fresh and local ingredients. A nice chapel which overlooks the church. Very helpful staff with clear instructions as to what to do if you arrive out of hours. Thank you all.

Location was fantastic, right in the centre of town and a short walk from the train station (10-15 mins). Great transport/bus links from outside the door. Checking in with a code for the key dispenser out of hours was easy, as was checking out the following morning. Outside noise was often mentioned as an issue but I did not experience this despite staying on a Saturday and had a very peaceful nights sleep. The rooms were large, spacious and tastefully decorated to match the historic (and active) nature of the building as a Seminary

I loved everything: the staff, the location, the quietness and simplicity of the place. The room had a kettle and tea and a safe. The street view was nice, you could people-watch if you wanted. There was a pair of earplugs but it wasn't necessary as it was quiet. It also had a cross over the bed and a bible, which made it feel so much more special, it is a priest seminary after all. The building was clean and safe. The breakfast had yoghurts, cold meats/cheeses, local breads, boiled eggs, cucumber and tomatoes, juices, teas and coffees.

United KingdomThe rooms were slightly sparse and not a huge range of breakfasts but I’m clutching at straws really it was very good!
It’s a lovely location in a beautiful building. It’s clean and comfy and centrally located. The breakfast was good too. All the reviews state that it can be noisy due to its location and earplugs are provided but perhaps there aren’t many people partying outside in march because we didn’t hear a thing. The reception staff were also very helpful.
