People in room above waking me up

We liked everything except for the people in room above walking in there room for many hours which resulted in me waking up too early while I'm on holiday

Accesible to the train station and transportation going to the other parts of lake district.Peaceful location to take some rest after touring the lake district.

73 and 78 years old put in the smallest room at the very top of the house. Only 1 chair between us. Television was tiny so couldn't see or hear very well, subtitle too small as so far away from bed. No use asking to change room as fully booked. Website gave the impression of a communal lounge which must have been changed to accommodation.

The room was a bit old-fashioned, but not bad.

The location was cool and quiet. It was close to the train station, to the bus stop and the centre of the village (where there are some cool shops and good restaurants). The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped.

Few small things I’d consider changing: 1. Buy a new kettle, the one in there doesn’t detach from the wire so you have to unplug and carry the whole thing to the bathroom, and then you can’t really fit the kettle under the tap to fill it up because of the low sitting shelf, bit awkward. I’d maybe think of putting a fresh glass bottle of water in the rooms to fill up the kettles. 2. Some blackout curtains or blinds would make for an even better nights sleep. 3. Pop a cheap little hairdryer in the rooms.

For someone like me who needs a place to stay that is nearby I couldn’t ask for better really, this place was a stone’s throw away from my workplace. I also like that it’s self-catering with on-site facilities (kitchen, laundry room - I didn’t use these but would if I was staying for longer). Decent shower, good space in the room and overall a good sleep. I also had to last-minute extend my stay due to train strikes and the owner was very responsive and accommodating.

Nothing, it was all fine.

Thought it was very clean and modern. The kitchen area was spotless and Salina was very helpful and friendly. The location is great with bus stop outside the door and handy for the train station

The room felt a bit cold in the afternoon, perhaps adjusting the heating system would be good.

Sink,had toothpaste all over it and dark hairs which was such a shame Bed,not very comfortable for me I should have checked the location of the room, we were on the top floor which isn't very good for me as I'm not very mobile but that was my fault for not asking we were in room 5 which is 2 flights of stairs. We were only there for 1 night as a stop over

There's no lift, so anyone with mobility issues should request a ground floor room as the steps are quite steep. The shower wasn't very powerful

The location is great, particularly for those relying on public transport, it was quite affordable for the area. Shops and restaurants are within 2 minutes walk. The beds were comfortable and all the expected facilities were there. No issues with noise either, despite it being a small building.

I couldn’t complain about anything it was really affordable and great value for money. The towels provided were large bath sheets which often you don’t get in hotels! If I had to have a moan about anything it was the shower was on the small side and no shampoo provided but there is a local Sainsbury’s so isn’t a problem really!

It was right in the heart of Windermere so it was easy to get to the lake and local shops. It came with a double bed plus a single so you’ve an option of how you choose to sleep. The room was really Clean and the bed comfortable and warm which is perfect for this time of year! And the hotel is quiet with no building or construction in the area to get a perfect night sleep!

We had been allocated "room 5" on the top floor, which provided challenges due to my physical restrictions, but my wife and I managed. It is worth mentioning to anyone else perhaps in a similar position, but as I say, we managed "with consideration. Please note that this statement in no way applies any negative impact to "what we did like above!" Nor did it have any negative effect on our visit to Windermere that we would not rebook/revisit. The only impact was during the arrival, unpacking/packing of the car phase, etc!

Excellent value accommodation, in Windermere Town centre. The "shared kitchen facilities" well equipped and suited our needs/requirements. Our room was well equipped and clearly suited our needs for our entire visit.
