Unfortunately several problems with the room have caused my low score. 1. There was no information in the room about how to access the WIFI /no password code. When I informed reception at departure I was told I should have contacted reception. I had not done this as when I tried to log on to the internet it was after midnight....too late to make contact. 2. only 1 light of 3 was working in the bathroom. 3. I found in the mornng that there was no hot water for the bath. I ran both taps simultaeously and separately for some time, but neither became even warm. I did not use the shower as there was no shower hat...and there was only a high shower head...no hand held attachment. I informed Reception when checking out. I could not delay my departure as I had a booked appointment for a Covid test some distance away.

Reception staff very friendly. Room comfortable. Lift is a plus. I was very happy with what I found on arrival....and indeed in conversation with Reception after having taken my luggage to my room, I said I would stay again....but then , see the problems below.

it needs a good handyman. room 12 blind wouldn’t retract on its spring. tv cables hanging down. hole in wallpaper near light switch. mirror tiles in dining room seem loose and mismatched. just needs a critical eye over property.

There were cobwebs hanging from the light fixtures in the room and bathroom. There was no low level lighting in the room. Issues with the shower being a scalding temperature and no way to adjust it using the tap . I reported it to reception and they advised it was an ongoing problem; to reduce the temperature, they had to run the taps downstairs for 20 to 30 minutes.

The location was good for easy access into London for a job, a 20 minute drive. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were cobwebs hanging from the light fixtures in the room and bathroom. Room was infested with flies my husband had to try and kill them all by the window the bind didn't work had no pully and was dirty needs cleaning and changing

It has clearly seen better days. It has obviously been finished to a very high standard in the past but is starting to fray at the edges.

Great hotel for an overnight stop. Very cheap and included breakfast. Good size rooms. that were clean and comfortable.

stayed for two nights Just poorly organised when we arrived there was a lady on the front desk that had no idea what she was doing not her fault as it was her second day not very professional later that night was met with a rude staff member, insisted I had booked through Expedia even after I had shown him the booking.com confirmation also told us that we were not booked in for breakfast @9 am and proceeded to be argumentative our breakfast was ready but freezing cold as was ready for 8.30am we had to ask for an apology

I think there could have been more members of staff. We felt sorry for the member of staff on breakfast duty. He was all on his own,cooking and serving.

The room was really lovely. A good evening meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Bar selection and evening food choice could be better, but I've had worse.

Friendly welcome, helpful staff, nice room, good shower, superb breakfast. I've been before, it was good then, but has improved. I'll be back.

Fixtures and fittings in room needed repairs. (Shower, blinds, fan) Shower/bathroom toiletries not refilled/available Furniture was a little dated and weary!

The only downside was no evening food available, but apparently that will change in the next few weeks

David on reception and bar was great, really helpful. The room was good, comfy bed, good shower and a really nice cooked breakfast with hot baked beans! This place is a little gem, quiet, no traffic noise and handy for the A10. Will happily go again.

Could not regulate the hot water. It was very hot water. Bedroom window would not stay open on a warm night. We had to use the dustbin to hold up the window.

There was no air conditioning (I guess because its an old building)- just a noisy vibrating singe stand alone fan, no sanitise wipes or sanitiser in the room to wipe TV remote control down, door handles, light switches etc. And no black out curtains

Good location, Parking great, spacious room & Bathroom, windows open very wide for descent air flow into the room. Friendly male front desk check-in
